Shashwati Mandal Raag Miyan Ki Todi
Shashwati Mandal was the featured artiste for the morning session on Day 2 of the BIC Hubba in Bangalore. She began her recital with three compositions in the popular Raag Miyan Ki Todi and ending the piece with a tarana.
Shashwati was accompanied by Udayraj Karpur on tabla and Dr. Mausam on harmonium. Tanpura support was provided by Jagannath Rao and BN Shivprasad.

This is one of Shashwati taii's unique taans. Complete meditative singing and seamless progression in taan. Maybe some earlier gwalior singers used to sing this. But I have not heard this from any other vocalists.
