Shashi Tharoor is a brilliant mind! Hindi me takleef hone k बावजूद, इन्होंने अपनी बात audience tak पहुंचाने में कोई चूक नहीं की. It's very hard to convey your message to an audience in their language, which happens to be not your first language.

I am die hard fan of great tharoor... He is the one of most intellectual person in Indian politics... One language never going to work..!!!

Southern languages are even older than Sanskrit . Hindi is a new language having many effects from Parsi,Urdu, Arabic etc... My language is Odia, ( from Odisha ) directly derived from Sanskrit and I'm proud of it.

Sir, even Hindi is not spoken uniformly in North India. We speak mailthili, bhojpuri, awadhi, khadi, urdu etc all different dialects of Hindi. It's just a politics.

And the irony is that you and I are not writing here in any of these languages. Don't you think that if we rely on a foreign language for common communication we are poor in languages even if we have so many.

We celebrate the diversity! That is what makes us unique. If Hindi has to be accepted let it be organic. Don't force it down people's throats.

Let me tell u what’s the problem. The problem is u like him I like him I.e educated intellectual likes him but not the mass. That’s the issue. Mr.Shashi is not backed by OBC SC ST caste factor I.e he is a general, secondly he don’t have ability to speak lie and that’s in such a way that it creates a perception of the ultimate truth. Thirdly He don’t look Like Robin Hood I.e garibo ka mashiha, fourthly he don’t speak Hindi frequently Fiftly he don’t frequently participate in rally dharnas. Sixtly he don’t have reach to the north India , coz north region of our country is mainly responsible for the PM . Now ur telling why don’t congress put him front , he is in front in Kerala which is his home state. He is a PM material but he needs support from the party people will not vote if he is been put front as PM, same way as Manmohan. Congress don’t have any north India leader other than Rahul with whom poor people labourer farmers unemployed and youth relates that’s why he is being put in front. Edit: added just not word.
