So I needed to use one of the other holders for my Shars OXA quick change tool post, the 250-002 holder that takes regular and round shank tools.
In this video, I go into what I was doing, that being setting up to drill a round mount pin through the side of the pin. As I was doing that, I found a problem with the holder. This was my first time using this holder.
There are 4 clamping screws on this holder, the 2nd from the working end has a bad thread in the holder.
So the upshot is, when you get a new tooling system with this many pieces, check them all.
I will be getting in contact with Shars today to see how they want to handle the problem. I will update on that as things go on.
