Harper: Oh, he's a funny fish, Sir. I just saw him jump headlong into the Wishing Well. Why'd you think he'd want to do something like that, Sir? Ross: Thank you Harper....

Seven barrels, each needing one pistol calibre ball, charge, and wadding, one primer to charge.. a musket would take roughly 20 seconds, knock off a couple for the primer, so seven times eighteen, plus two for one primer.. 2 minutes 8 seconds. Say Harper is experienced and faster than average.. still about thirteen times seven, plus two.. still 1 minute 33 seconds. That's if it was a smooth bore. If it was seven /rifled/ barrels, three minutes?

Anyone catch that horrible mistake made by the Sharpe directors at 4:40? Ross slashes down on a man's back in a "killing blow" yet you can clearly see that the sword does not even penetrate the man's backpack, on the contrary it barely touches it, yet the -SWING- sound of a sword cutting something happens. A definite low point in Sharpe effects

There supposed to be Shakos, the type of cap worn by most armies at that time. Usually they where black with a badge and feather on the front. But like you said, low budget likely lead to them just using cheaply made versions with a white color, though sometimes you will see in the show them using proper colored and decorated caps, specifically for specific types of soldiers.
