    6:46 - one of the best moments in all of the Sharpe series: Ross: Did you see that, Harper? Harper: Me? No, I saw nothing, Sir Ross: Did you see what happened to Colonel Brand? Harper: Oh, he's a funny fish, Sir. I just saw him jump headlong into the Wishing Well. Why'd you think he'd want to do something like that, Sir? Ross: Thank you Harper....

    I’ll never forget going to Penza in Russia (a 24 train ride east of Moscow) on business to inspect an antibiotic manufacturing plant. Went with my French work colleague. The clients took us to the local Natural History Museum. It was full of French Napoleonic war memorabilia. This was where Napoleon’s army was halted. He couldn’t stop apologising! 😂.

In defense, i will say that Ross also kicks the frenchman and the mighty was probably hard enough to break the man's ribs. =] Use your imagination-Now that's soldiering.

    Seven barrels, each needing one pistol calibre ball, charge, and wadding, one primer to charge.. a musket would take roughly 20 seconds, knock off a couple for the primer, so seven times eighteen, plus two for one primer.. 2 minutes 8 seconds. Say Harper is experienced and faster than average.. still about thirteen times seven, plus two.. still 1 minute 33 seconds. That's if it was a smooth bore. If it was seven /rifled/ barrels, three minutes?

    Harper got his right upper arm injured and Hagman tied a hanky round it and the next time we see Harper, no hanky round his upper are and not even a tear or bit of blood on his coat sleeve, and how did the French manage to get up the ladders, and Sharpe's men should have thrown the bombs at the French before they even got to the walls of the fort.

  • @Mattthornz
    @Mattthornz13 жыл бұрын

    Anyone catch that horrible mistake made by the Sharpe directors at 4:40? Ross slashes down on a man's back in a "killing blow" yet you can clearly see that the sword does not even penetrate the man's backpack, on the contrary it barely touches it, yet the -SWING- sound of a sword cutting something happens. A definite low point in Sharpe effects

    Just for the sheer hell of it, please tell me what the French soldiers are wearing on their heads ? I love the clips I'm watching and it's probably yeah , little bit low budget and by that im guessing they didn't have enough money for even cheap helmets. They look like chefs or more likely Bakers . Come on now , they look like Bakers and you know it. Help me out with this one. Wth hell is on their heads?

    There supposed to be Shakos, the type of cap worn by most armies at that time. Usually they where black with a badge and feather on the front. But like you said, low budget likely lead to them just using cheaply made versions with a white color, though sometimes you will see in the show them using proper colored and decorated caps, specifically for specific types of soldiers.
