Never seen this show before today, from the clips and what people joke about in the comments i though it wouldnt be thaaaaat great... but after the 3 first movies/episodes i have to say. Shows damn brilliant. I fucking love harper... man is a god damn irish genius... and all the irish chaps are so wonderful... i just love it, especially knowing some irish history and myth that many chose to ignore or simply call psuedosciens... anyway, also the character development has been so great.. sharpe being just another gutterrat who wants to die with honor in the army.. ends up being made a officer without blood... working his ass off to get his men in line, only to learn from teresa how to lead, to be a better man, and to finally give sharpe a daughter which again changed him... she did all this after all she went through, wonderful character. it was beautiful.. i miss female characters like that. I could go on and on about other characters i loved.. and hated ;D simmerson.. man what an actor

This is the best fight of all time, because they didnt make it violent but they made sharpe twirl a chicken over his head at some nuns, using the move i refer to as: "The Chicken Tornado"

They're adapted from a novel series of the same name following the adventures of Richard Sharpe, a British soldier from the wars in India to Waterloo. The TV series differs somewhat to the novels either due to artistic license or from the sheer fact that Cornwell (the author) doesn't like to write/publish chronologically which muddies the water a bit
