It is so good that you can almost believe they had cameras during this war....the actors just put on a wonderous portrayal.

One thing I never liked about this series was being touched by a saber equals instant death.
Sharpe scared the French so badly they had to send stock footage from Sharpe's Eagle to face him him rather than fight him themselves.
Pope truly underestimated Harper. Harper couldn't wait to tear him apart.
That's soldiering
Looking like Bryan Adams but sounding like Charlie Chuck Now that's DONKEH!
Its sad that for one army to win and live, another must lose and die.
People still study Wellington's strategies at military academies the world over...what a legend.
TOP NOTCH ! Thank you for making the effort to post these - from NZ.

Using a 7 minute fuse for interrogation. That’s smoldering.
Being interrogated whilst a fuse slowly burns its ways to the bag of dynamite that's about to blow your plums off, now that's smouldering!
Why he is rampling about Dodd being a plunderer when his army is there for same
Dragoromirov is very handsome
Keeping your guns dry, while sneaking through a waterfall, that proper sneak tactics.
A man in a leather balaclava, taking another man into the woods that definitely not my style sir
Rip to the men of the USS Liberty who were betrayed also.
Threatening to blow a man's Johnson off for treachery, now that's soldiering.
Yaaay!!!
Did you see what happened to colonel Brand Sergeant Harper He's a funny fish he jumped headlong into the wishing well
why would he want to do something like that, Sir??? 🤣🤣🤣
Upon seeing a Sharpe clip had been uploaded I immediately watched, that's my style sir!!!

good night sweet prince
I've always loved watching Sharpe. It obviously had a very low budget, but the actors (mostly) and production team make the best of it, despite only having enough money to hire about 30 extras to fight some of the major battles 😂
I just realised that when Simmerson gave the command to destroy the bridge, Leroy actually charged OVER it and into battle despite knowing his avenue of retreat will be cut off by his commanding officer’s ineptitude and he’ll very likely fall in combat. He could have stayed there in the safe side of the river and out of harm’s way, but that won’t stop him from jumping into the fray, taking the enemy head-on and fighting alongside his comrades in glorious battle.
🙂
And after Fredrickson response on what makes a good soldier began a beautiful friendship
Even if the Dutch troops and leadership are made to look bad here, at least they are recognized and mentioned. It's usually "Britain" vs "France" or Britain/Prussia
Fighting with words, now that's civilizing!
this woman --as actor --is just beautifll--thx to se her in action --She was one beautifull face --in Death of the Caribic--tuen rollf
Cousin at Horseguards: +2 influence, +1 command Friends at court: +2 influence, +1 command Lost the King's Colours: -5 command Lost the King's Friendship: -5 influence
Lol those French soldiers literally welcome death with OPEN ARMS....
It must have been crazy firing a gun, looking down the barrel at a French soldier why looks EXACTLY like you. A lot of that going around in that battle.
I could hear Harris's eye twitching from the other side of the door at the misquote of Shakespeare.
Flirting with Maj Sharpes wife in front of him. That’s my style, Sir.
Hitting on another man's wife right in front of him! Now that's poeting!
Brand, a racist, a philistine, a monster and no gentleman. Definitely a villain and a worthy opponent for Sharpe. Shellington a charlatan and a flirt, gets by on charm and his artistic skills. Definitely a worth opponent for Harris. That member of Brand's men, has just made an enemy too, Sergeant Harper.
Sharpe wins yet another sword fight whilst being seriously injured. What a guy!
Staring down a Foppish Dandy hitting on your woman. Thats soldiering.
This was always one of my favourite episodes, Mark strong is a great villain in this
Don't know Sergeant, here's a Comment.
