how do you stop the till bleeping when you first turn it on ? i have recently acquired a sharp xea 102 till and when i turned it on for the first time it kept bleeping at me and lots of o,s appeard on the display ! I have followed the instructions to the letter but it still keeps bleeping , somebody help please ?

I have 0.00 displayed on my sharp xe-a102 cash register but it won't do anything else. I have unplugged, hit clear, hit void. nothing. what do I do? no low battery sign.
