Years back Daymond was hosting a tour to speak to entrepreneurs across the nation. There were free tickets and also tickets that cost in the thousands for the same conference. I signed up and went to the conference at a Rosen Hotel. When I walked in, a woman was walking out, expressing to the ticket holders how terrible the experience was. So much so, she was leaving early. I went in, of course expecting to see Daymond John, being that it was his image and name splattered across the advertising/social media for this event. Instead, there were about 5 huge men, dressed in all black suits, sitting at tables in the back of the room. The unknown speaker on stage, was belittling those who entered with free tickets, and giving cash from his pocket to those who purchased their tickets. It was nothing more than this disgusting intimidation tactic and sales pitch to get people to sign up for Daymond's expensive azz "marketing package." They weren't teaching shit, no motivation speech, nada. Oh, and Daymond wasn't even there btw. I stayed for about 10 minutes, listening to a man berate the audience, then left. Never looked at Daymond John the same since.

Everyone wears a facade or masks to some extent.The amount of ignorance and stupidity mixed with selfishness and lack of accountability,empathy,compassion, empathy and most importantly Love ❤🤷‍♂️🙏 However today people have to dig past the fakeness to find someone’s authenticity 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I believe that it used to be the other way around. As a business owner, I completely understand that ur fully responsible for who u allow to invest in ur company. I believe this guy was already doing good business before but wanted a huge boost in sales for his product and he got that, sadly it’s coming to a high price to pay. Sometimes it’s better to just cut ur losses and sell ur shares and move on. It’s a lesson learned and he will make enough to move on and create something new. The little guys are always being taken advantage of by the big guys, it’s how the business world works and how the big guys stay on top.

Exactly why I've never understood why people with actual successful businesses go onto that show, the only thing that they can give you is publicity other than that they're going to take a percentage of everything as well as want to own part of your business, the show itself is literally "we're rich and are willing to invest in your business if it means that we'll get even richer even if that means you won't get as rich as us in the process

not if they are cooking the books... and they can sue him for bamboozling them because he is viewed as a trusted figure and what would be a fair deal... if they are only getting 4% the courts would likely find that to be unfair , even if they signed a contract and provide what would be standard or expected in a similar deal... All they have to do in court is bring up his dealings with florida when he tried price gouging the state during the beginning of the pandemic by charging 7 times more for mask than the retail value which is illegal...

Sales of 16 million doesn't really mean much. What we need to know is the profit. A company could have lifetime sales of 16 million and lifetime expenses of 18 million, meaning that they lost 2 million. Personally I can't take a side because I can tell that neither side is telling the full truth.

The details are in the numbers. 100k for 35% is a HORRIBLE deal. The business owners don’t understand corporate finance and got squeezed dry. Anyone who is educated enough to understand finance can see as clear as day how shitty that deal is. He should have given no more than 9-10% for such a small amount of money that they probably burned quickly.

16mil in sales doesn't mean 16mil in profit. There's plenty of business with millions of sales but in the red. Especially with food where the profin margins are razor thin. You be lucky to get 8% in profit in food after all the expenses.

yes profits are razor thin but you will at least profit over 100k do to the sure volume they were doing its no way to justify the greed and deceptions by the company distrbuting the product period

yes we do, daymond gave them 4% and took advantage of them. ARe you dumb def or blind or are you one of those people who believe the illusion of an image that is portrayed on TV .. The last time I checked, ashton kutcher isnt stupid, bill cosby is a rapist, and brad pit is a drunk but thats not the image on tv

@@DNice.. Unfortunately that probably will never happen since in the laws eyes it was all legal and above board. The rich get rich and the broke get left destitute... It's the way our legal system works too, sad really.

I don't watch Shark Tank if Daymond is on anymore. What he FACTUALLY did to those people was horrendous.

I hope in the beginning they had their own lawyer & actually read the contract.

Y'all know these reality show contracts are NOT set up to benefit the contestants. Money always wants more money and power always wants more power. Wish there was more exposure of the ways these contracts absolutely give the shaft to the product creators/artists/contestants. Marcus Veltri made an informative video about the America's Got Talent contract. That 1 million dollar prize? Paid in yearly $25,000 (BEFORE taxes, which can be higher for this type of income.) These shows exist to make money for the people involved in producing them, not to better the contestants' lives.

I know we don’t know the full story. End of the day it was their idea first, I know business is business but hopefully Daymond keeps trying to do the right thing going forward. When presented with confidentiality contracts I’d presume you’d be on high alert and deeply think about the decisions you’re making. At best it’s a trashy business owner selling more to his investor instead of going broke and daymond is taking the reigns and they’re being vocal about it all.. I’d like to maintain the belief that the sharks wouldn’t do anything wildly inappropriate or illegal if it had gained much of its publicity from the network… just have to wait to see how this one settles.

Shark Tank has been on since 2008. With that longevity viewers (like myself) need to take in all the Good these sharks have done with entrepreneurs. Example with Daymond John would be Bambos socks, etc. (sorry about the spelling if it is wrong.) Viewers like ourselves do not know all the facts. So, in my opinion, we should take a step back, and see how this business plays out. As always there are 2 or more sides to any narrative. I support, until I know differently, Daymond John as well as all the sharks, with what they do to help young businesses. Yes, they are investors - but where did entrepreneurs go when they needed money and connections before Shark Tank? Be careful of reputations; change may not be better.😊

This probably why people go on shark tank and have outrageous buy ins. They take the publicity and then get the product as far as way from these people’s hands.

This is why I’ve never been a fan of “shark tank.” The name itself implies exactly the type of individuals who you’ll be dealing with. Money 💰 and notoriety aren’t everything.
