Henrys are so Basic. THIS is why they work so well and are so easy to maintain and repair. Henry’s are the definition of “IF IT AINT BROKE, DONT FIX IT”

I bought the Shark Apex zero m based on the Vacuum Wars channel. It's one of the worst vacuums I've ever had. The issue you showed with the paper shreds clogging up in the dust bin happens with dog/cat hair, which messes up the airflow. All that messed up airflow means the filters take the brunt of the dirt, and you're stuck washing them out. The "zero m" rollers are also a joke. I clean them more often than I've ever cleaned any vacuum, and we've always had large dogs (st. Bernard, great Pyrenees, etc). The only good thing ab the shark is the dual roller for hard floors. That front roller will pick up cat litter, pet food, etc with no issues.

I like the special guest appearance. We're doing a big cleaning for Christmas and getting the cobwebs and dusting is so much easier with the Henry. The only thing I don't like about it that there's no charcoal filter available here for it, but so far it's a great little vacuum.

Great video. While comparing bagged verses bagless was not the main topic, you really showed why bagged machines are better, they are so much easier to maintain, there's no getting around it. I totally agree with you on motor sound. Being a blind person, I probably notice things like that more, that shark motor just sounds awful. Of course, the higher the pitch, the faster the motor is spinning. I'm not surprised that motor is already starting to fail, it's obviously spinning very fast. The Henry motor is much more pleasant to listen to. To be honest, my favorite motor sounds are the two stage motors like you would have in the older Electrolux canisters and the older Tristar models, but those motors are very uncommon in vacuums that are currently made.

I got 2 Henry's and a pink hetty. I wouldn't buy any other brand. They make short work of dust, debris, leaf litter in my car where I've made several trips to the local waste site. They are sensibly priced too and require virtually no maintenance.

I have a question for a recommendation. I own a commercial cleaning company and recently I started a new contract for a gravel pit cleaning there office. They only have two runners in this place, using my Windsors 5 minutes in and they are no longer functional bags empty but plugged with stone dust. Any recommendations For the record I tried a water filtering vac still passes dust plugs pre-motor filter.

@@PerformanceReviewsvacuum guy here to I'm running the hepa bags and it's a weekly service so we are only vacuuming two small runners that are very high traffic but because of the stone dust they are just useless I've been trying my arsenal of high end vacuums so I bought a kalorik for s&g but last night it still passed dust. This place I clean should be a vac testing place.

  • @PerformanceReviews

The the service schedule for this vacuum as most Bagless pre-motor filter should be washed every use. HEPA filters are made of very finely woven paper or cellulose that must be changed. Most cartridge HEPA filters the big plastic thing in front of the machine should be changed every 3 to 6 months on a baggless vacuum. Washing HEPA filter tends to entrap the impurities in the water worsening the filter.

Henry's do not have a full bag check indicator. However the weight change they get when the bag is full is very noticeable. As far as the models you're referring to it sounds like you might be in Europe? 160 is compact 200 is full size

I know you are not a fan of Shark vacuums. I don't care for bagless vacuums period. That said I think it only fair that you get the most recent Shark vacuum (Vertex) for use in a comparison test. Vacuum Wars picked the Vertex as the best upright vacuum. Ugh, I don't agree. I so wish that Henry would make a motorized powerhead for the American market. It is such a great vacuum.

I simply picked this model did because it was a machine that was readily available at Costco. Out of the options I have there it was more expensive of the two. The way shark designs the machines I doubt the results would really have been any different with their other models.
