SHARK BITE Capital of the WORLD & DEADLIEST Beach in the USA… ? Visiting NEW SMYRNA BEACH!🦈
New Smyrna Beach was recently named the “deadliest beach” in the USA, but just how deadly & dangerous is it really? It’s time to talk about SHARKS again!!! We are going to the shark bite capital of the world to look for sharks & not only explain why this awesome beach is a hotbed for them, but also hopefully quell some misgivings anyone has about actually visiting here. I hope you all enjoy!💕🦈

Thank you Desiree for this video’s coffee!☕️💕 Tampa Jay’s video: kzread.info
I CAN'T tell you how much I LOVED this video. I worked in the marine mammal field for two decades and in zoo education. Sharks are such an under appreciated and important part of the ecosystem. I love how you outlined why and how attacks happen in a really educational way. I can tell you love these animals. They need people like you ♡

Thank you for sharing this exclusive video Tampa Jay. I will have a very peaceful sleep tonight.😮
I’m a recent subscriber to your channel. I grew up in Tampa Bay and enjoyed Tampa Jay’s video on the Skyway. To show you my age, I was a junior in high school when the Summit Venture hit the Skyway and the bridge fell. I went to college in Tallahassee and spent seven and a half years in Miami. I now live in the Atlanta area (and plan to watch Jay’s video on Atlanta very soon!) In the middle of turmoil in the world, your channel today was like a refreshing drink of cool water on a hot day. Congrats on the engagement! I can’t wait to hear about the wedding.
What is a shark's favorite candy?? Jawbreakers
You captured a lot of breathtaking places- Florida 💚 is beautiful
Beach towns are always a nice vibe to take in for sure.
Cris, you mentioned you had a background in library and information sciences. I’m a former librarian (FSU class of 1986) who worked at various positions in various libraries before I had my son. I work part time now doing proofreading but will always have a soft spot for libraries.
Thank you kindly 💖☺️ Great video!!!
"What kind of shark is that? A tiger. A whattttt?" I love that you put that in there. hahahaha.

HI Cris!🙋 Awesome video. Florida is beautiful. Sharks are one reason you won't catch me in the ocean. Cute squirrels. My mother loves lighthouses.
Just to help a little bit. A large percentage of the bites do happen in the area of the Jetty. Because of the stone jetty, the waters are very turbulent and attract surfers. As you stated, the turbulent waters create poor vision for sharks and they snap onto people. Thank you for a great video, well researched!
What a cool little town! Great video Cris, I loved all the sunset and lighthouse views.🌅🦈

Another great video! 👏 I had no idea about the "Shark attack" rating for that beach. Very interesting. I think Sharks are fascinating creatures too. I don't believe they hunt for humans on purpose. I feel like they are just searching for food. 🦈 The scenery there is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing. Hugs and God bless ❤ 🙏 ❤

Cris, I knew I made the right decision to subscribe to you and Tampa Jay. I also love Jaws. It is my favorite movie. I have seen it more times than I can count. I was actually at our local theater at midnight when it premiered and saw the fist showing. That was in 1975. Great video. I haven't been to New Smyrna Beach in more than 20 years.

@@CristheGirl Yes mam. I have been watching Adam The Woo for years, and when I first saw Tampa Jay on one of his videos, I started watching him also. Then I saw you. As I watched both of yall, I could tell yall really love each other and are a perfect pair. I actually got a little choked up on the video where Tampa Jay proposed to you. That was cool. Yall are really good people. I'll be starting my video vlogs soon. I have some videoed but I haven't gotten them ready to upload yet. Hope yall will watch mine as soon as I can get some up. I think my latest Disney trip will have to be in two parts, maybe three. It was last week in January when my daughter and I were down there. Remember I mentioned that we were down there when you and Tampa Jay were up here in Atlanta. Anyway thanks again.

Hey Cris the girl!
Great video! It's cool seeing you and Tampa Jay at New Smyrna I grew up surfing there many years surfing and jet skiing the best waves are by the Jetties at Ponce Inlet it's also the favorite spot for the sharks that's why so many bites. Tons of sharks there but I never thought about the Sharks when i was surfing i didn't really see them much sometimes a spinner shark when they jump out of the water there's a video on KZread of one jumping right over a surfer you should look it up it's funny! I've seen videos from the air where you can see hundreds of sharks though it will be cool if you had a drone! I never knew the lighthouse was the second tallest in the United States that's really tall! I like the way you say Ponce its cute makes it sound classy! Hehe Jaws was one of my favorite all-time movies too I never knew it was based on the shark in New Jersey until I saw your video do you think you'll make a video of Cocoa Beach that would be cool!
@CristheGirl
Жыл бұрын
I will definitely do a video on cocoa beach sometime soon, that is the beach I grew up with! I realized after the fact that I was DEFINITELY saying 'Ponce' incorrectly lol!! That is cool you did a lot of surfing here, an aerial view of the ocean would be awesome! I really hope to see a shark some day in the real, I just hope Im far far away from it haha! Thank you so much for watching!!
Tampa Jay did well walking up to the top of the lighthouse. We did it one time in St. Augustine. It took me forever but I made it. There was a woman training for a marathon and she was running up and down the lighthouse. I told myself I had to get in shape but never did it!

The fisherman get rid of their chum while on heading back from their trip. Summer time mostly
I’m from NSB. i grew up swimming the beach up and down summer day after day. My mom would be at Tony And Joes and we’d be swimming the shore. i never saw a shark. BUtttt there are lots of reports of bites closer to the inlet.
"Pohn-say" Inlet 🤭
I am already deterred to moving NSB…
🦈🦈🦈🦈
I took my sister in law and her 2 little girls to New Smyrna Beach in 2003. It was known then as the safest beach due to the reef just off the coast. We had a great time. We went to the top of the lighthouse and I had to carry the 3 year old down piggyback! It's like 250 steps!

Oh interesting!! Yeah the lighthouse it super tall, that's a long way to be carrying a toddler haha! Thank you for watching!!
you can also still stay at the hotel AILEEN WUORNOS stayed at
Isn’t there a cemetery in NSB why is he buried there in the middle of the road?
It is a shame you missed out on The Taco Shack. I think you guys would have dug that place.
Enjoy New Smyrna Beach??? Kidding???
One thing I didn't know was that you should not swim near someone that is fishing on the beach. I was in Cocoa and watched a fisherman catch 2 sharks within 30 minutes. One was about 3 feet and the other was about 4 feet long. So I left. Lol

My home for almost 30 years. I miss NSB. Indian river there is incredible too. Better than the beach, for me. It's the shark bite capitol, but it is NOT the deadliest or even deadly. It's always little bites. Where did you get this B.S. idea? Edit: my bad, I should always finish the video before commenting like this. Forgive my snap.

30:11 that is only 90 miles ish // from cuba to parts of florida. In northern Africa, there be 1000s of folks (from all across Africa, there r 55 ish countries there). and Thank sum 1 figured out to mandate all of them get life jackets. but lifejackets in the MED are not enough. the height of post cuban missile crisis was during the clinton era. a usaf asset was shot down/more shots fired, and cubas were rafting Clinton and the GOP House agreed, 'any further rafters were sent back to cuba, if they survived their watery grave experience'. // i remember the cubans that landed in 1980 Miami was not equipped to take on that many bodies all at once, regardless of 20% of them being 'deemed criminally deviant' by their former communist oppressors. the 14th comment/better luck than being 13th(lol)/ married couples might consider diving into the water leave the white collar sharks/lawyers behind and let fate decide which spouse out strokes the other. LOl there r some husbands that might well fly from across usa just to give their wife a dive into the beach's water. lol eg: the cop asks, 'why did u let your wife into the water?'. because the name of the beach is 'bite' not death by shark. she could lose some weight.
