She did a great job with this one for sure!
Thank you for confirming my suspicion that the ride would stop because of the guests and not because of the ride itself.
Former Disneyland mansion CM.. best memories of my life!! The mansion will always have a special place in my heart!
This is the ultimate behind the scenes video of a cast member who worked the Haunted Mansion. As someone who always wanted to but could not work at the Mansion due to life circumstances - this is the info I always wanted to learn. Thank you so much for sharing - it answered a life goal. Know you really made a lot of us happy and brought serious joy! Thank you!
I love how the "bride's ring" wasn't in fact a ring originally but it was a sawn off metal pole that people have mistaken it for the bride's ring and this became so well known that Imagineers have actually put a real ring in the concrete floor. 🤣
39:00 Also, how wonderful is it to have memories of how things used to be. I remember when the merch was sold from Madame Leota’s gypsy caravan outside the gates. 😊
I love this deep dive behind the scenes.
I've been on the Haunted Mansion ride so many times since I was young. And I remember feeling so bad for that scared pup when you're traveling backward down the ride watching him and the guy standing there. And he's so scared shaking. Thanks, Cris for the video from your eyes
Great video 👍🏻. Yes haunted mansion is a classic and should never be gone.
Wow! MIC DROP! You need to do more of these! Great job girly, your a breath of fresh air.

From a current Disney cast member, great Video!
THIS IS EXCELLENT! I loved the detailed narrative and the inside info. Please do more Disney attractions! (A little ASMR'ish too -very calming voice)
You showed me several thing I never knew. Been thru mansion several times. Thank you
Great video! I grew up in SoCal and visited Disneyland throughout my childhood and the Haunted Mansion was always one of my top 3 rides. Later I moved to Orlando where I was a regular visitor at WDW. The Haunted Mansion continued to be my favorite ride, so I appreciate the insight you bring from being a cast member. I look forward to watching some of your other videos soon. Thanks again for a memorable, fun-filled tour of the Haunted Mansion.
Thanks for the video! This has always been my favorite ride since I was a youngin'. Roughly 30 years ago (back when the cast members were still allowed to scare you) I made friends with a butler and maid on the ride. One night they were the closers and let me and my cousin do it with them! They turned on the lights and I got to walk through and experience everything. That's something I'll never forget.
Just re-watched this video. I didn't realize how much I missed the first time. This was super interesting! A lot of stuff I never realized before. It definitely shows you put a lot of work into this! Thanks for another awesome video!

Super cool 😎 video
I REALLY enjoyed this tour of the Haunted Mansion. Very cool to hear an insider's description of it.
Fantastic video! I never knew that the stretching room was timed. I love all the details you shared. I remember the maroon awning and even when there was no awning. I thought I was already subscribed? Not sure what happened but subscribed again👍🏻

Forgot to comment on this one when I watched it last week…. Absolutely loved this vlog! It isn’t often that I hear things that I didn’t already know about WDW, but I think you got me a few times on this one! Great job! I always look forward to your vlogs, you are very soothing to listen to.
Been waiting for this one and you delivered! Love Tampa Jays shirt! So envious of Chad for riding the keel boats! Love all the little details on the outside of the house before you even get in it. They added the extended Q in 2011! I think the other ring is towards the exit. Loved the voice over for the rest of the tour. So detailed. As I've mentioned before when we first met, I've done this tour when we worked there and it was one of my absolute favorite ones ever. It was a dream come true. Love the famous "Donald Duck Chair." That's cool about the actual incantation. They didn't tell us that during the tour. Love love love the peppers ghost effect! To see those animatronics up close was just freaking amazing. I remember the OG attic scene before they had changed it. I love the new story but still miss the old version too. So jellies that you got to wear that dress! It was so gorgeous. I don't think they're going to get rid of HM but I have a feeling that they will change the hanging scene. And if they had to do that in return of axing the whole ride (see what I did there?) 😂 I'd be ok with it. As always, awesome deep dive 🙌🏻💀
I love the way you still Disney point with your two fingers. Our daughter worked there about 10 years ago and told us about the secret Disney two finger point. Great video! Very well done and very informative!

I remember some time between 87-91 on Haunted Mansion in Disneyland, in the hall with the armor, there was a Live human actor dressed in the armor and would do a jump scare. Did you ever experience that in WDW? Loved this video BTW!!

I never experienced the live actor on the ride but I've heard of it being a thing and it sounds horrifying haha!! Thank you for watching the video!!
Oh man!!! That was EXCELLENT!!! While I have never been to WDW I have been to the one in California and the Haunted Mansion by far was always my favourite! Was really looking forward to this video and it did not disappoint. Thanks for all your background knowledge. Some may think knowing the ‘secrets’ detracts from the ride but I disagree, I think it only adds to the experience. Thanks Cris. Keep up the great work ❤

Thanks Cris for the deep dive into the amazing Haunted Mansion. 👻 💀⚰️🪦The animatronics and special effects on this and Pirates of the Caribbean ☠️🗡is why I love those rides so much! My cousin and his wife are cast members currently. He works at Pop Century and she works in the floral dept. Having family that work at Disney has its advantages as you know. They also tell me of behind the scenes stuff also.

Lol, back in my day there was no 'extended queue'. Heck, I remember when there were no guards in the front entrance gates to the hotels and you could drive right in. Plus I remember taking dates to the Top of The World to watch the fireworks and able to be ALONE while watching (that's the roof of the Contemporary for those of you that don't know). Even better, I remember the days that no one batted an eye that parents dropped of middle schoolers at the parks ON THEIR OWN!!! (But I also remember when EPCOT opened, so ....yeah! Lol) Those were the days!
That was so cool. It just reminded me of the time that I worked at Experience Music Project when it was first opened back in 2000 and there was a ride called Artist's Journey. There was many times that I worked in that section and watched video and started the motion platform ride. But it was fun job and you get to meet a lot of people across the country and around the world.
This was cool thanks !
Great job on this! It’s also one of my favorite rides. As a kid in the 70s my parents took us on the ride there and it was scary! My dad insisted we always had to ride it after dark! I remember the three of us kids riding in one buggy with my younger brother between my and my twin sister. He was shaking! Last May my husband and I went to Disneyland and were first in line when it went down for a while. They let us hang out for a while sitting on the floor in the lobby, which was cool and restful but ultimately we took a pass and let and came back later.
BRAVO! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I love a good insider video!

Hoooonnngh, I can FeEeEel the humidity, jeepers, no thank you lol! I'd probably call the horse "Thessie," like a Thestral, perhaps? I thought everybody knew about the "Wedding Ring"? Went to the Mansion on a school choir trip. The Stretching Room got WAY too people-y and I MAJORLY had to bail! I am somewhat claustrophobic, so PEOPLE! plus *space* equals a whole lotta nope on this end! Shame, because the rest of the attraction looked great! Back in Halloween Week of October 2018. My mom and me took the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. Our tour group got to go into the Servant's Quarters of the Haunted Mansion there. It was fun having a pre show room just for our group and the stretching room. I am surprised you did not talk about the frame around the aging portrait. We were able to get a close up look at the frame, That is all I am going to say about the frame.
