Atanar89 ok I’ve come to the the conclusion that birds are not dinosaurs. They evolved. From dinosaurs sure, but they are their own category now. Were pterosaurs still referred to as archosaurs once they evolved into pterosaurs? No. Plus birds have their own diversity independent of dinosaurs. For the same reason I think humans are no longer apes like how apes are no longer monkeys. We’re just too different in our walking stature, so that’s a distinction.

Even setting aside the speed of the plunge and the depths of their diving, it's incredible just considering the strength necessary to take flight from the rough open ocean. How do you even lift yourself off water at that size??? You have no resistance to push off from and can't even flap your wings fully. Incredibly impressive 👏🏻
