Shariq will always be the player I turn to when I listen to this track. His playing helped me understand this shed track internally. I'm not a drummer with insane chops but he helped me to always land the 1.

Yes he is a very good drummer but I really didn't care for the flavor of drumming he added to this particular song. If this was just to show that he can RIP and cut,great!!! He did that. I just think for a song like this,his playing should have been more musically in-line with the song playing. Please understand, I am not throwing shade at this young lion,"I can't play like that", it's just,at my age,while I can appreciate an extraordinary drummer like this young lion,I'm also looking to see if the drummer can tastefully accentuate the song and still allow the song to breathe to let the full nature of the song to exist. Great performance young fellow. GREAT PERFORMANCE!!!👍👍 Dave Weckl would be a good example of what I'm saying. Again,I'm not throwing shade at this young man.
