The initial track (1st section) is in time signature 7/8 & then transitions into a half-time 6/8 feel in the 2nd section. Shariq is phenomenal!! 🎼🎼🎼💎💎💎

@@sevenfacecomplex YOU are incorrect young man!! The whole track is based on eighth note subdivisions, NOT quarter notes.. If it were 7/4, it would have line drive quarter notes on the kick drum, which it DOES NOT! Go back for theory training & learn the proper counting systems for rhythm subdivisions before you try to insult me!! I've been a musician for 48 years while you were watching KZread links! Instructional tip to YOU! Get a metronome & find the BPM (tempos) of both sections & set the metronome to 7/8 time signature & then 6/8 time signature (transition section) & then count the tempos while the metronome is ticking. ALSO. there is no such time signature as 6/7. The bottom number of all time signatures tells musicians what note gets the beat/tempo which is based on the whole note counting pyramid system: whole note = 4 beats, half note = 2 beats, quarter note = 1 beat, eighth note = 1/2 beat, sixteenth note = 1/4 beat & thirty-second note = 1/8 beat. There is NO note or rest in the rhythm theory system that gets 7 beats; therefore 7 will never be a bottom number in a time signature, young man!

Shedding is all about playing with concept ideas and rudiments and stuff. Taking six stroke roll for instance, and playing it on different things, then expanding on that idea

That's what I thought..... Everyone is saying something different. My music theory may be a little rusty, but 7/4 is 7 beats per measure with every quarter note getting one beat. Hence the 7(beats per measure) 4(represents the quarter notes that get one beat)
