And he said, "Moses didn't bring any animals on the Ark. It was Noah." That's my most traumatic church experience.

Went to a private protestant school for 4 years. 2 middle 2 highschool and it was filled with rich, snobby and selfish children. Made friends with all the poor kids (we were in some lame program to go for free) the foreign kids cuz they had an exchange program and all the non-christians. Some of the craziest fuckin people I've ever known went there.

Assuming you mean the crossed arm thingy, It’s what you do during communion (the bread and wine part) to show you have not had your first communion/ can’t have the Eucharist. It is normally so the priest can give u a quick prayer/blessing instead if you want one. But that’s mainly it ! Also sorry if this wasn’t what you were asking about I might’ve missed the part u meant

I remember going to church when I was a kid, like really young like probably 5 years old. Even then, as soon as I walked through those doors I instantly got the feeling, “this is bullshit”. Didn’t mean they didn’t still get some of their guilt into me for a while though.

Growing up in a catholic family was so quirky and silly. As a child without any knowledge of morals and death and an “afterlife”, I was forced into believing in a thing that supposedly created everything and has power over everything including me and my family and that if I sinned I was going to hell without my family and would experience eternal damnation and torture and death and agony and misery and murder and naked flesh-eating ghouls and demons that are happy killing me over and over and experiencing a godless void of fire and ashes and the incessant overwhelming dread of being locked in hell. It’s just so quirky and fun having children be forced to believe this and then make them feel so guilty and instilled forever with a dissonance of religion if they decide not to believe in the faith they grew up with. Just so silly and fun. Good thing we don’t have religion rule over our great and flawless political and legal system while also controlling civilization in general for centuries before and those to come! I love being American
