Being a Shar-Pei owner I am familiar very with Sharpei fevers. If your Pei is experiencing fevers it’s important to take your dogs temperature at least 1 to 3 times every a day. Purchase “laser” temp reader $20 @ Costco. Dogs body temp 101 to 102° is normal But if your dogs temp reads 103° is a telltale sign of a fever. Give your dog “BABY ASPRIN” ONLY chewable/flavored aspirin is best. (crush the pills & sprinkle the aspirin on dogs tongue if you have to) I prefer the liquid baby aspirin, easy to squirt it in the dogs mouth. There is a prescribed medication called “Colchicine” that is used to manage/prevent shar pei fevers, it worked great on my dog (s). Also You can save a lot of money on your pets prescriptions by having them filled at Costco - 30% to 40% cheaper.
