After all, charity alone doesn’t pay the bills so the truly-charitable must rely on someone who sells something and gets paid, to put food on the table for both. Shaq’s comments seemed logically sensible hence my word choice of ‘wisdom.’ There can be wisdom in marketing. There can be zero wisdom in statements that have no marketing strings attached. I was never a fan of basketball in general, but after Shaq retired I became a fan of who he is as an idol. Much respect for what he does for people.

This interview is legendary.

Shaq carried this interview and it was still good. Man is just levels above cerebrally but wasn’t condescending at all. Very humble very wise. If anything this made me want to check out more podcasts with him
