The thing is that it won't matter who they get. People are going to watch the finals regardless of network/commentators. Bringing Shaq and Chuck, as much as I agree are way better than anyone for this, won't make a huge influx of viewership. If people are going to watch, they will watch. So they see the numbers and keep whoever. The way to get them would be to not watch if they aren't on it, which no basketball fan/watcher would do lol. So yeah I want Chuck and Shaq and the TNT crew in general but sadly it won't happen based on this.

It's great to see both Shaq and Charles talking with praise about Jokic and explaining with inside why he was so good in this game. The narrative until now most of the time was "how to stop Jokic", so it was from the adversary's perspective (you saw this against the Suns, the Lakers and the build up to the finals) instead of "let's just admire the moment and explain the true qualities that make him such a special player in the last game."
Jokic joins LeBron as the only players in the last 25 years with 10 points & 10 assists in any half of an NBA Finals game. James did it in his 42nd Finals game. Jokic did it in his 1st.

Sabonis was bigger, stronger and could jump higher. Similar basketball IQ, but not quite as many post moves and not quite the same shooter. But overall, very similar in terms of overall quality as a centre to Jokic (that's Sabonis in his prime of course)
I watched that spin baseline away from the double to a kick for an open 3 at 1:19 that they replayed and said to myself...this guy is too mf good.
Joker makes the simple play look great! How many backdoor cuts do we see...that's 101 basketball. My cousin who never played or was interested in basketball, but found himself as coach of 6-7 year olds (the original coach had accident 2 days before the season); taught him fundamentals and one play (the backdoor cut) and variations of that play. He later told me; the season would have been disaster, without being able to teach 6-7 years olds how to cut to the basket. Yeah the team did not do well, but it made them competitive in most games. I am still proud of that moment.
Yayyyyy Shaq and Chuck. Chuck's face when he's trying to hold in a laugh😂😂😂
I love that they brought up Arvydas Sabonis. Chuck at least is old enough to know how incredibly great Sabonis was before his injuries in the late 80s. What makes Jokic great is Shaq asking the question if he's pass first or score first. Jokic can play any game and we don't know if he'll have 20 points or 55, 10 assists or 15, 9 rebounds or 25. What we do know is that he's gonna have a Double Double and the Nuggets are gonna win 80% of the time. He's just incredible
Damn, Shaq with the Rick Smits name drop
I always hear people throw around the term “athletic” but I’ve never really heard a good definition. When I watch Jokic play of course he’s not a Michael Jordan or a Kobe Bryant but the dude can dribble, pass, shoot, run the floor, etc, well for a big man and as good as some smaller players. So I don’t understand why people have to reference his athletic ability by saying he’s “not as athletic”, not as athletic as what? It’s almost a behind the back racist comment. Jokic plays a different style of basketball, not as flashy or aggressive. He doesn’t play the typical playground type basketball that many American players play so he isn’t going to be displaying a lot of overly “athletic” moves anyway. Each of the great centers were unique and Jokic is just another one of those great centers.

They are comparing centers, most centers would just score physically using size advantage while Jokic is more skill based center who can pass and shoot 3s

He’s not super quick or jump out the gym with high flying dunks or blocks. Hes mr. Fundamental 2.0. They said Tim Duncan was slow and boring. Well Duncan is a top 10 player all time. Jokic might crack the top 5 when it’s all said and done. Should’ve been 3x mvp. He’ll have a finals mvp with a ring. Sill got plenty of years left to play.
Loved the Shaq "old school" shout out to Rik Smits at 4:16. Who even remembers Rik Smits?
I was telling my son a week ago that Denver movement constantly on offense would be the difference. And i couldn't agree more than what chuck said today's game is shooting three's and everyone watching. A old throwback game what i grew up with. Denver in 6
What channel are they on??? This makes the finals much better
Jokic is for sure one of the greatest in the game today & will surely be a HOF if he can keep this level up. But I don't agree he did it better than Shaq or Chuck. At least not yet, he's more technical and skilled but it's a different game and different era. Threes were almost non existent back then and they were just the best in what they did, and by far the most dominant. I love how Jokic plays and shares the ball, but to be on the level of those, I believe he should dominate games even more & especially, create the gap between him & the other bigs like Giannes & Embiid. And most importantly, do it consistently over a couple years, but with the "soft" game of today, barring major injuries, I'm not worrying about that too much. Great player & good game. Love to see him win a chip!
So cool to get Charles and Shaq on the lines. I didn't see a big guy who was it Jokic? Adebayo is a big dude. Maybe he was referring to him guarding Jokic? idk.
These the only guys I want to hear talk basketball or about anything they want to talk about or that matter😅
TNT is so much better coverage Chuck is very funny Charles also very good analyzing the game
“No, you know what that means, I don’t” 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can someone help me out here? Who does the production music for the highlights from 0:45 - 1:45 in this video??? I love the theme used here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
"Mouse in the House, Mouse in The House" LOVE THAT SAYING
I never heard anyone use this term when talking about Joker. To me he just plays relaxed. Almost stoic at times.
They just need to drop a tnt nba live podcast ...n we can just hear shaq and chuck cut up the whole game 😂🙌🏾
Shaq have a HUGE respect to Rick Smits. He was good.
0:48 Jokic attracts a lot of attention and the paint is wide open for drivers and cutters. 0:59 Look how open the paint is with Jokic at the top of the key. Anthony Davis was camping under the basket against the Warriors because Draymond Green was not a shooting threat. Much more difficult to score in the paint when an opposing center is standing under the rim. Nuggets had some very easy shots in the paint because Bam had to guard Jokic on the perimeter.
That little desk in between them is just comical
I thought Chuck was gonna take a vacation. He's doing analysis for NBA TV. Looks like EJ is the one taking a vacation
Good job, Denver
Wish the TNT team doing the entire playoffs. As others have noted, the halftime segment with ESPN was a snoozer. I never skip pre/half/post game with the TNT team because they are actually informative, engaging, and entertaining.
Rik Smits mentioned by Shaq❤ Dutch pride here 😁🇳🇱💪🧡
Playing zone d against Jokic. Smart 😂
Shaq O'NEALOVIĆ😂😂😂😂
Jokic, that man can play some hoops and the right way. Plus it’s not a bad deal having Murray and Porter as sidekicks.
As soon as Barkley began to mention a player he enjoyed playing with, the "great & under-appreciated" Cedric Ceballos came to my mind. What a player!
"Most guys mentioned that the number one option they're going to get it, I want to score. But you know what, I'm going to look for my teammates. I'm going to create opportunities for them. And he's a true definition of a great player, not only does he make himself look good, makes somebody else look good."
The Jokerzilla doing the Sombor Shuffle. The ultimate Serbian power ranger! LOL
‘So old school reminds me of rik smits and arvedas sabonis.’ Reminds me more of Tim Duncan and Tony Parker.
Shaq im impressed buy your vocabulary, you come along way BIG CHAMP. Keep up the good content.
I just looked at the game stats Joker and Murray between them two were responsible for 79 points of the Nuggets points tonight. With scoring and assists Then I look more into it if you don’t have a somewhat of a big 4 porter Gordon are not like stars or all stars but you would take them on your team to complement your current team star or stars then on top of that they have a sniper in KCP that is a proven champion that can get hot as well nahhh man you need a whole complete team game to win

Shaq I love that you talk on tv more I said to myself I make him nervous so I don’t watch the game
I thought Shaq was going on holiday in the Bahamas. Good to see him and Chuck.
Jeff green 2007-8. Jeff green. BOSTON Celtics....HEART CONDITION..?? Endurance.... Jeff's a Warrior... WORLD CHAMPION !!!!!
The Nuggets aren’t phased one bit, they’re just playing team basketball.
