I don't use treasure island and have never tried one. I kind of enjoy the process of breeding flowers, finding the DIYs and items I want to decorate with, and earning the bells for paying off my loans. I think it's part of the process and I don't think I'd enjoy decorating as much if I didn't earn the items first.

That's what's great about sandbox games, we all enjoy them in our own way. I love learning about ways to get engaged after years of playing. Really enjoy the DLC.

I love the game mechanics so I actually play in the irl days for the most part and do the NPC quests etc, buutt I also do visit treasure island to expedite the decoration process from time to time

Looks amazing! I do a lot of treasure islands and I also play the actual game mechanics (fishing, bug catching etc) when the mood strikes me. I still interact with villagers and look for my bottle on the beach, but I time travel at will :) that’s what makes it the most fun for me

Just a thought that the sugar cane and white hyacinth farm could maybe be a cotton farm? I feel like the white hyacinths look so fluffy (ergo the cotton) and the sugar cane looks like cotton that maybe hasn't fully grown in yet. Just a suggestion since I know you like to add stories to everything + justify your areas - maybe Alice could make Daisy clothes that Daisy feels comfortable wearing because of her sensory issues? But yeah I do the same thing, I feel like everything has to make sense somehow lol. Been really enjoying this let's play!

TLDR: Treasure Islands brought joy back to Animal Crossing for me and I'm hooked 💚 When I played in 2020 I did everything as the game intended, step by step, day by day grind. And it was a very wholesome break during that insane time in the world and I was really charmed by it. But eventually the game lost its spark for me and became a chore. I could never get builds to look the way I wanted because I could never get the DIY or Nook store items I wanted for my vision and I felt awkward trying to make deals on Nookazon. I ended up putting it down and didn't pick it back up except for holiday events. I loved the experience of the intital months of playing it and have nostalgia for that time somewhat now, but I was also disappointed in how my island turned out. This year I ended up splurging on the new Zelda OLED Switch and it dawned on me that meant I could start an entire new island. I learned about Twitch Treasure Islands from watching others playing it on Twitch and talking about them and when you recommended NooksTreasureIslands in a video in this LP, I decided to give it a shot. I think I traveled to two before immediately becoming addicted and subbed to them 😂 Currently, I'm about two weeks of real life into my new island, but with Treasure Islands and time traveling I have every item I could ever hope for and 8/10 dreamies. (I hunted for the first 3 for 8 hours with tickets from the Treasure Island) and I am having an absolute blast. I've got three complete builds done. This island has progressed more in two weeks than my first island did in two years. Experience, your tutorials, and Treasure Islands are all to account for it. I have zero regrets about using them and I've been having so much fun playing again. My new island makes me so happy to work on, talk with my dreamies, and finally build up the island of my dreams. And when it's done, I'm really looking forward to going back and fixing up my original island and giving it the makeover it deserves. Treasure Islands are amazing and I don't think I'll ever play without them again.

i usually try to get all my items on my own but if i know exactly what i want i might go to a treasure island! i generally go to treasure islands for fish bait because god knows that stuff is impossible to get in bulk on your own, but now that i've completed my fish section of the museum i won't be needing bait much anymore!

i have two switches. my main island does use treasure islands but only for decoration purposes. i still gather my own materials and make my own money. my secondary island uses treasure islands exclusively for money, materials, and items. i like having both as options for personal gameplay purposes

I usually use treasure islands but I just started a new island thanks to this let’s play and I’m doing more of the game mechanics so I’m not sure if I’ll use them much for this island - we’ll see 😂

i finally got my island to 5 stars all by myself, no treasure islands. but after that i starting using those treasure islands

maybe a hint for your editing that has sped up my own editing process: i speed up the whole video to about 180% (this way I can still easily understand what I'm saying, but it takes me way less time to get through the whole video) and in the end I go back to normal speed and check the cuts and transitions in normal speed. I am a very very slow editor, too, but this has been helping me a lot.

Totally understand what you mean! I tried this a while back but it kept messing with my footage - like parts of my video just went missing when I returned it to normal speed and also video and sound were like super off-sync and all 😭

As someone who tends to fall towards “natural” islands, I’m unsure if this is something you might want to go for but these are my ideas. An island that’s abandoned just makes me think of a abandoned farm, an old looking neighborhood, and overgrown weeds everywhere. Hopefully this can help out! ✨
