That game. I love Shantae like crazy.

pirate's curse is probably the best shantae game. the movementwith the weapons feel so good.

55:50's Cacklebat, I found by pure accident and was like "oh cool!"...if I were looking around I would have never figured that out if I had accidental missed it.

8:48 That's not even true, you can do the risky shuffle with just the d-pad just by changing directions fast enough, it's just hard to do in enclosed spaces.

I was today years old when I found out you could use the lamp to do literally anything other than suck up dark magic in this game.

How on earth do you do that flesh pop skip where he is levitating like jesus in the final bosses tower?

What a beautiful game

I found the risky shuffle before I even knew it wasn't supposed to be possible. I'm using a keyboard though, so for me it's as simple as holding the left and right arrow keys at the same time when changing direction, which I normally do anyway.

Very nice speedrun. I'm working on doing a 100% run through for the final Trophy I need on the PS4 version, so I wanted to look up tips. I'm not sure I'll be able to pull off a lot of the sequence breaks featured in this playthrough, but I'll definitely be checking to see if I can do the Risky Shuffle. Nice work taking down the final boss's third phase in one cycle; it always takes me two.

Interesting coincidence, as I have just watched this video to try to figure out how I'm going to accomplish my last trophy too--the speed run in under 2 hours any%. I already knew about the Risky shuffle, but I think the out of bounds skipping is a bit more than I want to have to do. If you haven't already, you'll get your 100%

so at around 37:00 I hear him say "now way i will get caught twice" and i hit right arrow to skip through the short run through the section, next thing i hear is "I really should stop tempting fate"

I'm not going to reply to a year old comment, but I actually heard the presenter call her both "Shann tay" and "shawn tay," which is weird.

Isn't it pronounced "Shaun-tae"? The donor dude keeps saying "Shan-tee" and it bugs me.

shan-tee is the more common word (shanty) shantae is based off. its a type of song associated with seafaring and or pirates (basically its a working song for sailing)
