I was diagnosed with stage 4 BC that spread to my spine in 2003 when I was 33. I am 50 now and still here. It is not a death sentence there is hope.

New treatments are coming to market every day. There is more hope than ever. That said, there is a study that if you really visualize beating whatever it is you think "cancer cells" look like and do it over and over, your chances increase. I believe this process is akin to prayer. I firmly believe in God's help in all things. I hope she has faith to turn to at this time, along with friends and family support.

Stage 4 breast cancer is different from other stage 4 cancers. Stage 4 breast cancer is currently incurable, while, for instance, stage 4 colon cancer can be cured. Just an FYI. I have stage 4 breast cancer.

​@@steveazusa As someone who has already had a precancerous mass removed and am still high risk for it to return I agree with AR. Right now I have to go to Planned Parenthood where they won't retest me for one year. The doc I saw when I had health insurance wanted to test me every 3 months. You have no idea what it feels like to not qualify for help and not be able to afford health care. If it comes back I will have to divorce my husband of ten years. :( To get on Medicaid and live alone while I homeschool our disabled son who is 13 and can't tie his shoes. Money has EVERYTHING to do with it. Medicaid = NO CHOICE but some help. With $$$ You can get a full body scan. I can't. Even though I have other nodules and cysts in other places that hurt more. As well as swollen lymphs. *I don't have health insurance anymore bc even though my hubby works for one of the largest employers in the world, the monthly payment on top of deductibles, and the surgery I already had put us too far back. Consider yourself lucky you have no actual idea how expensive health care is.

God she's brave. I'm a one time survivor. She is INCREDIBLE.

She was so brave when she was first diagnosed and fought this terrible disease and now it has come back. I hope she goes forward knowing she is admired for her courage and the strength she has given others in a similar situation.

I can only imagine the fear she must feel. Brave to speak to the world in such a personal journey.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 triple negative breast cancer in 2014. I am 5 years cancer free with no evidence of disease. Cancer is a word, not a sentence. Sending her and all others like us the very best of wishes. She is very brave.

I was with Shannen, in spirit, when she had her first battle with cancer. I was soo happy and relieved, when I heard the good news. Hearing this, is like a punch to the stomach, but worse. I will keep her in my prayers, and hope she will make a Full Recovery. She shold have at Least another 20 years on this planet. I Pray for Shannen's husband, and I will ask God to give him the strength to support her and give her everything she needs, while she beats this b/s again, and beats it for Good!

It returns because after the chemo, when it comes back it comes back violently. I watched a video of a woman who is still well but she is on strict keto. Doctors gave her less that 6 months to live. Personally, I dodged leg amputation, I've had radiation therapy, fighting it for 35 years now and would never ever accept chemo therapy.

Most autoimmune (besides cancer) will never go away, like lupus Autoimmune meaning your body attacking itself. Cancer technically does this, so you can look at it like that There’s a lot of hope right now with T cell therapy and immunology. The cure rate is steadily increasing

I can also vouch that it’s true. It’s 100% curable with natural remedies but there’s no money in Big Pharma for that. I hope at the very least Shannon is consuming plant-based CBD or Hemp herbs because that’s a huge part of it, especially the hemp. There are farmers in Fukushima that have successfully cured their growing soils from radio-active nuclear fall-out by using hemp. That plant is a miracle.

GOD Bless her and GOD speed with cure and recovery. My brother, diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer in 2008. He underwent 3 years of chemotherapy and radiation treatment. In the late fall of 2011 he was cancer free. Then in early 2012 he got the flu and admitted to the hospital. A coughing spell caused his Pulmonary Artery burst killing him. Autopsy revealed radiation treatments had caused Adhesions on the artery and the weakening to be an Aneurysm. Sometimes the cure is just as deadly as the disease 💕✝️🇺🇸

There is nor right or wrong way to look at cancer, and/or deal with a diagnosis, whatever feels best for you, do it. What's I find kinda irritiating, is that myth, that mostly the media feeds us, about "beating" cancer, a. like it's a live sportscast, b. cancer seems to create winners and loosers, aha. While you original cancer may be gone, the cells may have long travelled via your bloodstream and lymph fluid, creating metastses in your bones, organs (mostly the liver and/or lungs), brain. Remember, that stage is not hopeless, nobody knows how much time there is left for us, we all just live on hope, there is a variety of treatments to keep the disease under control, there still may be a long, productive, fullfilled, and quality life ahead of you!

What a beautiful, brave and honest woman Shannen is, it's amazing!! I love her ever since I saw her in her role as Prue. I've rewatched the first seasons of the Charmed series countless times (in German). To tell the truth, Charmed made my childhood way more pleasant and I can't even express how excited I have been when I could watch the series.

I’m so sorry for her and for every woman that has gone or is going through this.

Dead Man Walking. She is absolutely correct. Some people think that you are useless or can’t do your job once you have cancer. My manager stop giving me supervisory work when I came back to work after being sick with Stage 4 cancer. I do have cancer but I haven’t lose my brains yet. Cancer sucks but the way I was treated and look down sucks more. No body wants to be sick . I wish people have more sympathy.

My mom had breast cancer, in 2008 she passed away. February 2015 my baby sister kept telling her Dr her mammogram was wrong. In April 2 mths later they finally did a biopsy, it came back stage 2 within ten mths we lost her. Feb, 21st 2016, I'm praying for each and everyone going through this. If you have a mammogram and they say it's benign cyst's or benign lumps, please get a biopsy, MRI don't just accept what they tell you. My sister kept begging for two mths until they finally did the biopsy. I've never seen someone go through what she did it was horrible. God bless all those going through this

My mom’s breast cancer came back in her liver and bones her Dr. told us she had two weeks to two months to live she lived exactly one week 😭 but she accepted the diagnosis and didn’t want to spend her last days taking treatment or in a hospital so we took care of her at home. 18 yrs ago but I remember it like it was yesterday. Miss her so much. Prayers for Shannon and every one who has lost someone to cancer. 😢🙏

It broke my heart when I heard your cancer came back Shannon and you now have MBC. I was diagnosed Dec 4th 2015 and went through treatment in 2016, surgery, chemo, radiation. Had complications during chemo and developed pneumothorax. I just remember how positive you were and I thought in a way you and I were fighting our battle together. I pray for you and I know how scary it must be for you. I lost 2 dear friends of MBC within 2 months of each other last Sept and Nov. She is one of the best actresses! She never got the credit due to her. When she was younger she had the reputation of a bad girl and that seemed to overshadow her acting career. She is actually very beautiful, especially in her younger years. It sad sometimes that an actress has to die before they really get the fame and recognition that they deserve. She is one of the greats and should of had way more opportunities in movies than she did. If you look at some of the dramas she did play in ( besides the sitcom) she is actually quite good. I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer, had a masectomy and lymphectomy, chemo therapy, radiation, hormone blocker, and chemo pill. i've just gotten a CT scan, so I'm finding out if I'm cancer free. I was diagnosed with stage 2 cervical cancer. Treatment is brutal. Its like getting a possible death sentence without ever committing a crime. The fear is palpable and the fight at times is too hard but you keep fighting especially for those who love and don’t want to lose you. Cancer is no joke. changes your life completely. I love Shando so much and we just need to conquer the fear!!!

I also had stage IV Breast cancer metastasized to lungs liver lymph and bones. I was free of cancer for a year in a half and it returned...in my lymph system affected my kidneys. I am cancer free again for a year. I found relief in intravenous vitamin C, and I took annoto from designs for health. I believe with a strong will WE WILL BE FINE. 😘

My friend is the same age as I am and has a complete list of medical issues she’s been dealing with on an ongoing basis for the last 4 1/2 years. When I mention a headache or something and then apologize for saying anything, she reminds me, “Your issues are not insignificant, whether I’m going through this or not.” She’s one of the strongest people I know. I appreciate her perspective.

this is so sad, i grew up with shannon watching 90210, then charmed and loved the movie heathers and loved her appearance in the tv show version. i know how devastated she was when luke died and his death was so out of the blue and its hard for me to come to terms with, let alone his friends and loved ones. i got liver cancer in 2015 and hearing those words that i have cancer is a real shock and puts things into perspective. this year i will be 5 years cancer free. i wish her the best of luck

F**k cancer!! I have been a fan of Shannen Doherty since her days on 90210 in the 90s and then again during Charmed. They both were a must watch in my house. She is so beautiful and strong willed and an amazing inspiration for other women who might be going through a battle with cancer. Shannen's smile is amazing and powerful and says a lot about how strong she really is. Women like her don't give up easily.... I wish her all the best with this battle and I hope a miracle showers over her very soon!

You are a brave woman and I know you can fight. And when this you are one of my favorite actors of all time growing up watching Beverly Hills 90210 with my mom. There's a long road for you and you are going to survive this. And you will make it.
