It's crazy because of the chemistry they had on the show was incredible and I always thought they were close in real life, that's a shame. I still love the show no matter what.

I believe the problems started in season 3, maybe towards the end of season 2. But they were really good friends in season 1 (well Holly & Shannen were before Charmed and it stayed that way). Holly and Shannen were bridesmaids in Alyssa's first marriage.

The reason why they seem like they were all friends on the show was because they had to get through every episode and it was Shannon and Alyssa that didn't get along I love Shannon but this is the second show that she got kicked off of. Before "charmed" she got kicked off of "Beverly Hills 90210" she only did 4 seasons because she got in another fight with another co-star Tori spelling and the weirdest thing is Arron spelling who is Tori Spelling's father produced both shows and that's the person who kicked Shannon off of both shows for not getting along with others but I still love Shannon and I always will ❤️

@@joannierice7435 Shannen definitely was problematic on BH 90210. Constantly late (hours) verbal altercations with cast and crew. She was A Lot! But as for Charmed, that wasn't the case. The press Looked and reported Anything that would seemed like a problem even when Shannen wasn't involved whatsoever. Yes, her and Alyssa had problems but it wasn't right away, it was towards the end, but we don't know exactly what happened and I believe (though I am definitely not sure) that it was Alyssa that gave the ultimatum it was Shannen or her but both couldn't on Charmed. Shannen decided after a while to be the one to leave. And she didn't get into fight with Tori Spelling but it was Tori who went to her dad and told him to fire Shannen. This happened after a physical fight between Jennie and Shannen.

The two of them were and still are best friends. Shannon and Alyssa had the drama. Aaron Spelling had worked with both women which is how they were cast in the first place. However Doherty had to be on her best behavior because of her missteps during 90210. Showing up late, hungover or still drunk, bad attitude, not knowing lines, etc. He had no such issues with Milano hence he sided with her. At least Shannon didn’t walk way empty handed. She shared in profits of syndication. Even episodes without her in them.

It's interesting that Shannen, Holly, AND Rose all had a problem with Alyssa at some point. Heck, Rose even came out and stated, "I DON'T like her". There must be a reason why, and it's not a ganging-up issue since Shannen and Rose never worked on "Charmed" together.

@@mayaamis You could be right in parts there. Still I don't think it was just a highschool feud like climate on the show.. Once there is money involved and an actresses image in danger everything is possible. We just don't know what happened behind the scenes. It wasn't told in a mean way. Who ever caused the bad atmosphere on set it wasn't just a single person of the actresses. I don't believe that. There are arguments and fights all the time. Issues start once you don't resolve arguments ... Or have someone there too say quit it during work! Holly was just joking around. It's a step too far for me following up with: well probably she was horrific in her 20s. That's simply not comparable or makes any sense... I think you see exaggerate a bit with your conclusion.

To me, it sounded more just a comment regarding what Shannen said which was (generally speaking) "what high school was like for them" (meaning someone's specific experience of it, basically). I also don't think she was trying to ridicule Alyssa in any way by saying she didn't go to high school. Alyssa started acting as a child, so it is to be expected that her education is probably with a private tutor instead of going to a regular high school. Of course, Holly and Shannen know that (Alyssa being a child actor). And so, if Alyssa did not even go to a high school, what does that even mean? What does "high school" mean to her? Hence the question, "what are we talking about here?". If anything, I think Holly was trying to steer the conversation elsewhere by trying to be funny. It becomes obvious she doesn't want to talk about on-set issues from way back when she mentioned that Alyssa's mom was at her wedding. "Like why are we even... why?" Then Shannen grabbed the first opportunity to segue into their new show when alcohol was mentioned. If anyone here was being rude, I'd say it was the girl who asked the question in the first place. If not rude, at the very least she asked a question that made her guests uncomfortable. Seems to me, they are here to talk about their new show, not issues with coworkers in the past. So... inappropriate question, much? Of course, I could be wrong. This is just my impression.

Rose did Justice . She was actually one of my fave roles with piper when Shannen left. But the produce got pretty boring and alyssa as a co Producer Ruined the Show. Season 7 and 8 were the weakest. Season 4 with Rose was one of the best .

It's not like brothers and sisters don't have fights all the time. It's normal. Honestly this puts even more realism to the show rather than destroy it.

Shannen focus more on sisterhood and demons when she produce few episodes, but allysa want more on their love story which far from the original concept of charmed.

I don't think there's anything un-classy about not liking people. Let these people not like each other. Alyssa toward them and them toward Alyssa. Our culture is too caught up on public "classiness." It's a facade if that's not the way you really feel. It's not wrong to express how you feel. Not liking other people isn't going to kill them. Also, being on a t.v. show together doesn't obligate them to get along with each other any more than "regular people" are obligated to get along with co-workers. You know damn well that non-Hollywood co-workers also have beefs with each other. Let Hollywood stars be human too, and I mean all of them -- Alyssa, Shannen, Holly, and Rose. It's also sexist to expect women to act like "polite ladies" all the time. They are allowed to express their feelings in any way they want to without you calling them "catty." Having negative feelings about one woman or some women doesn't mean you aren't generally supportive of women. It does mean you judge people on an individual basis DESPITE being generally supportive of women. Personally, I can't stand Hillary Clinton but that doesn't mean I don't support the idea of a powerful woman.

You know, honestly, I think it's the media that seems to want to keep this "feud" going than these women do. I think people took Alyssa's comment too seriously, when I'm sure she just meant there were childish moments on set and it wasn't fun some days but that was in the past. Clearly, Shannon has moved on and doesn't seem bitter at all at this point and Holly just seemed annoyed constantly hearing about the "feuding". That's all. I mean Shannon and Alyssa follow each other on Twitter and tweet back and forth on occasion.

Love when Holly called herself Switzerland, just like Prue says to Piper in the unaired pilot.

This interview definitely got me thinking differently. I've been a huge charmed fans for years now and I always knew about the tension between Alyssa and Shannon and figured that Shannon was just naturally bossy which you can see through her character as Prue and Alyssa was more carefree. My views are a bit different now that I see piper saying kind of mean things about Alyssa, now you have two people who don't seem to like Alyssa so is Alyssa not the innocent one after all lol. I conclude everyone on the set of the show was okay with Shannon being bossy because they didn't want drama but Alyssa being carefree and outspoken didn't want to deal with her bossy-ness. Either way I love charmed and I love all the girls.

Pay attention to Alyssa's energy and her "Bed time with men" track records. She Won't tolerated Shannen's light and natural sexiness. When Rose just came to the show Alyssa has never thought that Rose was a threat. But Rose was sexy and classy. She's not into showing tummy or boobs and always added a leather belt to her pants. Versus Alyssa, who has poses Nude at the age of 18 ( google it) and has gotten boobies implants after Shannen left the show. I Hate Alyssa's acting too! I just love how they act as if they have no idea what Alyssa meant by saying it was a bit like "high school". You know exactly what it means. I think you didnt get Holly´s answer, Alyssa is pretty acussing her of bullying when she invited Alyssa´s mom to HER WEDDING.... Thats strange, and makes sense for Holly to be offended. Also I think , like Shannen said, it was NOT HIGH SCHOOL, it was a job, they did get along at the beggining and Shannen was part of the casting of the show, so she was ok with Alyssa...watch some BTS from season 1, they did have fun together.... I think what makes them mad, is Alyssa trying to make it look like their friendship before the show was the problem, and when THEY ALL KNOW, and we know that the problem was about the show, the job, the scripts, the screen time, the getting late to set or whatnot... THEY WERE ADULTS HAVING DIFFERENCEs in their ways of WORKING...not bullying or ignoring anyone, there was a real problem and there were not "victims" on it.

Crazy thing is Alyssa wasn't in the "original casting" (pilot) it was another actress who was ready, willing to go but then b/c of personal family issues/problems she was unable to fill her obligation to the show- the actress obviously chose her family. SO Alyssa sweetie it wasn't bullying just b/c Holly/Shannen were already friends/co-workers b/c the show existed already but you were the last one hired. I think Alyssa was very childish about the whole ordeal and made it bigger. She's also no angel b/c Alyssa was having an affair w/Brian Krause (Leo) while filming the show and Shannen was upset about it b/c it would cause a problem on set and off the set. I remember that "blind item" like yesterday - I figured it out fast too b/c the way the person wrote the "paragraph w/such great hints"; it all turned out to be true as well. Alyssa has a lot of BS w/her little "they bullying me", "I was the victim", blah blah! Shannen/ Holly were great in the interviews and I think Holly went "to work everyday" as a strong person she is and such a professional, wonderful, talented actress she has always been. I mean the show practically turned into the "Phoebe" show anyway and Alyssa just loved "wearing next to nothing" on screen. Rose may have wore some little "midriff outfits' as well, but NOT nearly as revealing as Alyssa's wardrobe. I wish Alyssa was never casted on the show and they chose another actress instead b/c Alyssa was always a "my way no way" type.

Elena Chavez the funny thing is that the other actress left the show because her church wouldnt let her play a witch. Second: the network didnt even wanted Holly to play Piper if it wasnt for Spelling and OVERALL Shannen saying she wouldnt without her friend, Holly wouldnt have gotten the job so let me doubt that the other actress was THAT bad. Another funny thing is the fact that Shannen had a saying in the casting of her sisters so SHE PRETTY MUCH was ok with Alyssa or she wouldnt have gotten the job either and ANOTHER thing, I just read somewhere that Holly AND SHANNEN were Alyssa brideswomen in her wedding ... so They WERE friends at one point... An IMPORTANT thing is that Shannen dated Julian AFTER SHE LEFT the show when they did movie together called The other life in 2001... but I dont think the problem was because she dated Brian AT ALL anyway... I do think that it was childish of Alyssa and I think also Shannen and Holly got mad because it wasnt like that and OVERALL the problem was about THE JOB, screentime, money, scripts, getting late, where the story would go and stuff ABOUT THE JOB . It was NOT about girls fight over pillows or boys or mere "bullying" ... It was an adults problem because of work and they ALL had a say and were part of it. Not victims .

This was and still is one of my favorite shows I can’t believe they all didn’t all get along! WOW!

I dislike how after so many years there still bitterness going on between these women. Alyssa NEVER threw shade on anyone and she kept it classy with her responses. I love Holly but seeing her in those Charmed conventions throwing jabs at some unnamed third party (Alyssa) with Shannen is extremely childish to me. She even replied a cold "Thank you" to Alyssa when she wished her happy birthday on twitter, i thought these two got along, what happened? It seems Holly dislikes Alyssa just because she's besties with Shannen. What a shame.

Even when she gets attacked she responds with class, i dont know if that can be called passive aggressive. At least she doesnt throw jabs and ooze bitterness like these two did at the conventions. They didnt even bother to mention her when they retold backstage stories while filming Charmed. I will never forget Shannen's reaction when they asked her to say three nice things about Alyssa and mockingly said three times "she is really pretty".

Τhis comment wasn't shade, this is just how she experienced things there. The "She didn't even go to high school" comment by Holly was what i call slick shade. That was her opinion and she's entitled to it. Plus when Shannen left the show Alyssa admitted that there were days she wouldn't spoke to Shanner and vice versa. She was pretty upfront about the situation. There's this particular convention in Australia where i didn't like their attitude, it didn't give me a good impression. I hope in the future they will organize a convention with the four charmed ones, it would be great to see them together.

My favourite will always be Shannen😍

Clearly something new has ended there friendship because the older interviews (around the time when Shannen left the show) all of the interviews were about how Shannen and Alyssa didn't see eye to eye. Holly and Alyssa were on good terms. I love them all (including Rose) so blah to there bitterness with each other. I care for their characters that gave me most of my beautiful childhood memories not themselves. Still love them though 😊

I grew up watching charmed and I still watch til this day over the reboot they made.

I wish Alyssa wasn't so nice and humble and would give the details on what actually happened, my uncle was a set cleaner and moved props for about 5 years with WB, he worked on other sets as well but mainly charmed and said point blank the bad energy came when Alyssa became the breakout star. In the beginning holly and Shannen thought they would be the Stars the one who got all the press in the media but Alyssa was the one who ended up on OK magazine by herself she was the "sexy" one and used that to her advantage. H&S did petty things like requesting more money than her, bigger dressing rooms a whole bunch of bullshit. Then in season 3 Shannen told the producers she would only come back if she could be executive producer and have authority to write and produce episodes. As you kno Shannen produced a couple episodes in the whole show. For example the last episode of season 3 where pure dies was originally a 2 part

The 2nd part which included prue dying was only showed once and never shown again. It was a lot of petty drama going on that was never talked about but whatever it's been 10 years since the show is over lol

And another thing you can look it up Shannen was jealous because in season 3 the focus of the love life was put on phoebe and Cole (Julian), Shannen was dating Julian at the same time and was basically annoyed at the development of the character. Cole was suppose to be a 10 episode character who died, and ended up becoming a huge plot in the storyline. Shannen hated it lol

It makes me almost sad to see this kind of cattiness from Holly! I expect it from Shannon, but Holly always seemed to be classy and stay out of the drama of Alyssa and Shannon's feud, regardless of the fact that her and Shannon were good friends. I could have sworn Alyssa and Holly were friends when they filmed Charmed (in the seasons after Shannon left) What happened? And then Shannon giving a dignified answer? Jeeze, are we in a parallel universe?

I can't believe these ladies got offended by Alyssa's comment. I even went to watch Andy's interview again and I don't think there was anything offensive about what they said. it's exactly how Shannon describes it in this interview. I am honestly surprised by Holly. Honestly.

Where's the full thing?

1. What the hell are they doing on Sway? 2. This saddens me because I always thought that Holly and Alyssa were cool. What Alyssa said was not that bad and it's really really surprising that bad girl Shannen took a more mature approach to that question than Holly did. I really have to reevaluate my opinion on her because there are numerous instances that I feel like she's only seeing the negative.

Is everybody forgetting that Shannen herself insulted the show after she left by saying that it was a show for 5 year olds? (Or something similar) Also, she had also said an interview that Holly was probably going to follow her and leave the show too. Alyssa seemed to be talking about the athmosphere that she felt sometimes being on the show, possibly because Holly and Shannen were such good friends before Charmed. Shannen flat out insulted the show and made herself seem angry, hateful and jealous. I'm not saying that she actually is like that. Her comments simply made it seem that way. What I Thought was kind of funny is that the way they responded, to me, reminds me of an attitude of a high schooler.

+Phoenix Layton and wasn't she fired because she came late all the time. The writer was totally fed up with her and that's why it lasted only 3 seasons. The hate from Shannon is because of this so she said all this bad stuff. If it went right and both parties said it was enough i'm sure she wouldn't say anything bad about it. This tell me now i can believe in that she got fired! Kinda funny how she try to make it sound it was her way... NOT!

+Alejandra Benitez Shannon directed the cliffhanger, when time was rewound and Holly and Shannon came back to life. She did not direct the next season's preimere, that's how they wrote her out, saying Prue died. Shannon had already pissed Aaron Spelling off, and he axed her from Beverly Hills, 90210, but gave her a chance once more when he created Charmed. Shannon was still doing what she pleased, Spelling got rid of her, that's why the storyline ended so abruptly. Shannon, what I've read, was dating the guy who played Cole, and he was still married. Spelling felt is was BH's 90210 all over again. The series finally was supposed to be when they blew up the house getting rid of Zancu, Season 8 they decided to do one more season. I liked it, but the Season 7 series finale was much better, they changed their appearance and walked off, and even Darryl knew it was them. And Brian Klause didn't like that they decided for one more season, that's the reason he got taken away by the Angel of Destiny, he was done with the show. He did come back for the finale, everyone did, but Shannon, and that's because they axed her, she didn't leave. I used to watch that show daily over and over on TNT. It's still on, but now it starts at six am. I turn I Love Lucy on if Im awake lol :)

Actually Brian was only in 12 episodes of season 8 because the channel cut their budget so they couldn't afford to have him in the full season. And you are right, Shannon was fired in between seasons 3 and 4 because she wanted the show to be darker and the producers didn't like that. The show got worse after season 4.

No. She directed the episode in which Prue made her final appearance but at the point of filming it, nobody including her knew it would be her dying episode. She gave the producers an ultimatum ‘Milano or me’ and she was fired.

I liked the interview I wish i could have seen more of it

Charmed was one of my favorite shows growing up .

I heard that shannen was always difficult to work with , and she also got kicked of 90210 because cast mates didn't get along with her

No actually that was because of Jennie Garth. The two girls Vanessa who played Gina and Tiffany who played Valerie both said they left mainly because of JG

People say alot about Shannen but I think Charmed definitely wouldn't have gotten that far without her as Prue. They made most of us believe they were real sisters and possibly the closest friends behind the scenes. I personally would have loved to see how it would have progressed if Prue wasn't killed off. I didn't really enjoy Paige at all, she always felt like a replacement to me. There were some good episodes, i must admit but overall, the first 3 seasons were the pillars that kept us watching until season 8's half-arsed storyline(just my opinion, sorry if you don't agree) we could have done without Billy and her family issues. Just thankful that Holly stayed on and that Shannen & Alyssa acted so well that you wouldn't even know there was a problem

Shannen was difficult on the set of Beverly Hills 90210 - that's putting it mildly. That when she was working on Charmed another Spelling production the press was all over Anything that could be viewed as difficult coming from Shannen. They were looking for it. They didn't have anything to report about until season 3.

I just seeing this I know it’s was around 8 years ago but since then the truth has been told. "Charmed" co-star, Holly Marie Combs said that Shannen was fire despite from the show despite saying she quit after its third season in 2001. Holly recalled a conversation she had with Charmed" producer Jonathan Levin, who told her that Milano threatened to sue if Doherty wasn't fired from the show."He said, you know, We're basically in a position where it's one or the other. 'We didn't mean to fire Shannen,but we've been backed into this corner. Alyssa also told us if we didn’t fire Shannen she would sue them. Comb's told him that she didn't sign up for this. She told them she was going to quit. They threatened to sue me if I quit and told me they would make sure that I would never work again. It was then that I realized that my words meant nothing. Shannen said I wanted to be honest about the situation because the rumors have followed me re gardless, "she said. My representatives, I remember them looking at me at the time and said, "No, no, no, your career won't survive another firing, so we're just going to say that you chose to leave."I remember l started laughing, going, “Who is going to believe that I'm crazy enough to leave a hit show”? And it wasn't just Shannen she treated Rose awful. Rose said I cried everytime we got pick up. Rose also said that behind the scenes Alyssa would yell and scream I don't get paid enough to do this shit. Well, like my parents used to tell me”it’s not everybody else it's you!"So when Shannon, Holly and Rose have all come out and said Alyssa a B...l'm going to say that girl is probably a B. It appears the real Book of Shadows has finally been un-veiled.

It's surprising to hear Holly comment like that, I thought she was the most "behaved" among them. "Behaved" I mean like a mature kind of person. As a fan, I still hope they will grow up, learn from it and have the chance to work with each other again.

Its not Holly & Shannens fault they were friends for eight years before Charmed. Obviously they were going to be closer on set with all that history. Alyssa should have been grateful she got the part in the first place as she wouldn't have had Lori Rom not left for personal reasons.

Shannen because Aaron gave her another chance ...whether she left or was fired from BH - he had to go for all the trouble finding someone to replace her, so she really was lucky he trusted her again. Holly wasnt famous like almost at all (Picket Fences, okay, but least of those three), if Shannen wasnt hired, Holly wouldnt happen. I even saw in some interviews that Aaron really didnt like her performances at the beggining but thanks to Shannen who vouched for her, she was kept.(Thanks to god.) And Alyssa was at least on "Who is the boss" which was like a major hit plus she was and still is great to look at. She was bigger than Lori at that time already. And she was very promising, just something about her predicted that the show is gonna be big with her in it and Im sure people involved saw that too. They were all lucky and I am a huge Holly and Piper fan, so I am really in the middle in all of this and could care less, but lets be real ....They should all be evenly grateful for where they are now.

She said the truth Alyssa was homeschooled deal with it.. also this is an interview about them and what they think, I love Alyssa but Holly just stated the facts and even if she disliked Alyssa (which she obviously doesn’t judging by the wedding comment ) she is still entitled to her own damn opinion whether it gives someone’s feelings an “ouchy ouchy” or not. Seriously, grow up

Wow I'm really disappointed in Holly that was a low blow....I thought she was better than that. I would expect something like that from Shannen but not holly. I could care less what happened between Alyssa and Shannen but I'm very curious as to what went wrong between Alyssa and Holly, especially because they were soooooo close like fareal close. Something happened there.

Exactly. And there have been multiple times where Shannen has taken the high road but Holly hasn't. This kind of leads me to believe that Alyssa was telling the truth when she said that her experience with them was sort of like high school. Look at the dynamic. You have Queen B (Shannen) and the worker bee (Holly) somewhat fighting her battles.

With that being said the high school comment from Alyssa was a little petty if you are Holly because it was Shannon who initiated the whole thing with her interview. Her including Holly would naturally upset Holly seeing as they were way past that. But it seems Holly is now being petty because Alyssa pissed her off but I guess i expected better from her.

I, too, always thought that Alyssa and Holly were good. They always seemed on good terms when they did things outside of the show. I don't think what Alyssa said was petty. She was asked a question and said that it seemed like high school because the two of them were best friends and she often felt like she was on the outside. I mean, petty would be if she'd gone on WWHL in the same manner that Shannen did. (Shannen was asked to say three nice things about Alyssa but only said she's pretty three times. Alyssa was given the same question about Shannen and actually gave effective answers). IDK... I really don't have the high regard for Holly that I used to have after seeing some of these recent interviews.

I just wish she would let it go already and I wish people would stop asking about the crap. That's the only reason why it keeps being brought up anyway.

I think it gets brought up because they kind of fan the flames. Shannen was notoriously known for getting into it with other female cast members. But Holly responding in the way she did only keeps the fire going. It's just really surprising to see that Alyssa and Shannen are coming off as more mature than Holly. I would've never thought that.

Considering some of my favorite shows involving strong female characters had great onscreen chemistry but weren’t actually friends in real life, just goes to show these people are coworkers and you don’t always have to be best friends to get the job done. Gossip Girls, Sex and the City, Pretty Little Liars, Charmed, Buffy.

When three girls you worked with clearly cannot stand you, it kinda means you need to stop and start working on yourself.

What's the big deal? Alyssa made a comment. Holly and Shannen responded, but have repeatedly asked for it to be let go. I love Holly and Shannen's friendship. They obviously get on really well.

i think sometimes the actresses dont understand we as fans really want to know for a fact what happened because Shannon 'leaving' or being 'fired' whatever went down REALLY affected the fans. I cry every time Prue is killed and they have to build the family back up. I understand it's their life but Shannon shouldnt never been fired/left and as a dedicated fan I want to really know WHY

After researching the background of each of the "Charmed" stars, (Milano, McGowan, Doherty and Combs) had several things in common: 1. None had normal childhoods. 2. Each were professional child star actresses from a very early age. 3. Each has lived most of their lives as pampered Hollywood Divas. 4. Each woman is a multi-millionaire. 5. Each has multiple failed relationships with men and marriages.

I'm intrigued at what kind of person is Alyssa behind the camera? Bec there was this issue with her and Shannen, and there's this rumour going around that Shannen has a temper, so I thought maybe the problem was with Shannen. But then, recently I learned that Rose McGowan wasn't very fond of working with Alyssa as well. So maybe, the problem was with Alyssa? Well, I never liked her, she was my least favorite Charmed one. But I respect all of them as actors, because you don't see that there's tensions between them on the screen. You'd really think they're sisters in real life. I still love Charmed, the original Charmed.

I think their just both fed up of the past being brought up time and time again. Its soooo friggen long ago now, and we dont always get along with our work colleagues. I think it speaks volumes that Alyssa is the one still to this day bringing up the past but these two keep a level of decorum and defer the conversation as best they can. They sound irritated because their fed up of it. Like let it go already they didnt get along all the time it happens. Alyssa should let go of old grudges or maybe reach out to the 2 of them personally and ask them how they are, not over social media. I think Alyssa is still in 'high school' mode.
