It's truly comforting to read so many loving tribute to their barber father. I am also a product of 4 generations of barbers. My dad was the most skillful and hardworking man I've ever known. 12 hours a day. Sometimes it gets busy that he stays on his feet all day. "Appa you are the BEST". This clip reminds me of my Appa. Today I want to say I'm the only Tamil Production Sound Mixer in Hollywood. Speaking of which, it befuddled me why movies from Tamilnadu are never filmed with synch sound?? The ADR/Dubbing are horrible. When I saw this video I'm thinking how it was done cos I know Indian town has a loud ambience

Charlie sir acting, his dialogue delivery is just awesome. Simple, Sweet short film. Loved it, Enjoyed. I didn't feel like I was watching a short film, I felt it like I was standing right opposite to that Shop and watching an innocent, sincere & honest barber and listening to his enlightening life stories. Just now watched the movie, truly amazing, i am a physically challenged where i got my polio in my 6 months, my father being a barber brought up me with full confidence, he gave that freedom. He didn't lectured me nor gave motivational speech but he created that platform for me. Now am an assistant manager in Canara Bank where his part is phenomenal. Barbers are encyclopaedia where they make their customers beautiful physically and enrich them mentally with their knowledge.

'The Purpose Of Life Is To Exist' என்ற தலைப்பில் கதை Conflict ஆக : கதை, சுவாரசியமான நிகழ்வுகள் என பெரிய விஷயங்களை சார்ந்து இருக்காமல், நாம் சென்ற சென்று கொண்டிருந்த, இப்போது செல்ல முடியாமல் இருக்கும் அன்பு நிறைந்த சலூன் கடைகளில் பேசப்படும் ஒரு சிறிய உரையாடலாய் இப்படம் இருக்கும் என்ற முகமனோடு தொடங்கும் இக்குறும் படம் நம்மை நமது வாழ்வை ஒருமுறை மீண்டும் சிந்தித்துப் பார்க்க வைக்கிறது. அதே நேரம் நமது சுண்டு விரல் நகத்தில் காயம் பட்டவுடன் தான் இவ்வளவு நாள்களும் சுண்டு விரல் என்பது எவ்வளவு உதவியாக நமது இன்றியமையா உறுப்புகளில் ஒன்றாக இருந்து இருக்கிறது என்று உணர்வது போல் இந்த ஊரடங்கு காலத்தில் தான் நாம் அன்றாடம் அலட்சியமாக சென்று வந்த இடங்கள், அந்த மக்கள், அங்கு இருந்த சூழல்கள், அங்கு நடந்த உரையாடல்கள் எல்லாம் எவ்வளவு இனிமையானவை, அவை எப்படி எல்லாம் நம் வாழ்வின் ஒரு அங்கமாக இருந்து இருக்கிறது என்று அறிவுக்கு தட்டுப் படுகிறது. ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனும் தனது Exist -தை தக்க வைத்துக் கொள்ள எத்தனை சின்ன சின்ன சமூக உருப்புகள் தேவைப் பட்டு இருக்கின்றன என்ற வியப்பு ஒன்றை இந்த குறும்படம் நமக்கு அழகாக மறை பொருளாக காட்டுகிறது. வாழ்க்கையை ஒரு கலையாக பார்ப்பது ஒரு வகை பார்வை. அதே வாழ்வின் ஒவ்வொரு அசைவையும் கலையாக பார்ப்பது இன்னொறு வகை பார்வை. அதில் இக்குறும்படம் இரண்டாம் வகையைச் சார்ந்தது. வாழ்க்கையின் ஒவ்வொரு அசைவையும் கலையாக பார்க்கும் பார்வை. எதுவுமே இங்கு சாதாரணம் இல்லை எவருமே இங்கு அல்ப்பம் இல்லை என்ற உண்மையை மென்மையாக வருடிச் சென்றுள்ளது இக்குறும்படம். மொத்தத்தில் இக்குறும்படம் ஒரு நல்ல சிறுகதையை படித்த நிறைவைத் தருகிறது. அதன் இளம் தயாரிப்பாளர்களுக்கு ஒரு சபாஷ்.

👏👌🔥 நல்ல Direction !! I used to prefer local salon shops thinking that spending lavishly at corporate salon is waste. But this short film makes much more sense (life of salon shanmugams) I have decided to opt for local salons till my life after this short film ! 👍😊
