However, I don't think Morgans is as weak as you make him sound. I think Luffy and Shanks will eventually fight and it may even b after they team up n defeat Blackbeard but it will b more of a fight to see and/or solidify Luffy as King of the Pirates... nah BB will defeat Shanks after some epic fight comparable to roofpiece and then ... three-way ending with BB crew vs Strawhats & allies vs World government war. I like Shanks ... but it is hinted that former Yonkos will go down. And it is crystal clear there is feud between BB and Shanks. Shanks loves joking, but somehow he is always dead serious when it comes to BB. And it is obvious that BB won't be losing this feud with Shanks since BB is HEAVILY hinted to be endgame boss.

Obviously BB has some kind of "master plan" and I know he's gonna keep getting stronger, since he's the big bad of the series but I can't help but think about when Shanks and his crew somehow showed up at Marineford to stop the Paramount War after just days earlier clashing with Kaido and the beast pirates and BB didn't want any part of Shanks. BB basically laughed at everyone else who was there, even power houses like Garp and Sengoku, but Shanks shows up and he got the fuck out of there QUICK lol. If he's that afraid of Shanks it absolutely means that since he doesn't have a devil fruit that he has to have mastered one or more, maybe all of the different Haki techniques. I mean come on, he stopped a lava punch from Sakazuki with his sword and one arm. And no one was expecting Shanks considering he had, had that run in with Kaido, do he also must have either one CRAZY FAST ship or some other way of fast travel. I know I rambled on a bit but factoring in just what I mentioned and that we know jack shit about Shanks, if BB really is gonna b the "final boss" of the series he's gonna have to get a even bigger power up if he's gonna take on Shanks.

Yeah Shanks is hiding something. That reaction has a look of being proud but also that "Goooooood Gooooooooood" vibes as well. Like its all going to plan or he'll have to fight Luffy at some point.

For Shanks to steal Luffys devil fruit. It wasn't the hat he wanted Luffy to return. Probably just biding his time letting Luffy figure out the fruits secrets before he swoops in to take it himself.

@@gldwnr I would hate to see Blackbeard kill Shank. Shank is on par with Kaido, Big Mom, and Whitebeard, and he has no devil fruit. Besides the theory you mentioned, Luffy has a reason to defeat Blackbeard which is due to Blackbeard capturing Ace and giving the world government the opportunity to execute Ace. I do not think Luffy needs any other reason to defeat Blackbeard. I believe in the end, Luffy and Shank are going to team up to take on the world government. Also, Monkey D. Dragon will come into play when that comes.

Yeah, I suspect even if he does end up as an arc antagonist, he also has a genuine soft spot and respect for Luffy. I can see it being a ‘If you think you’re worthy to be the next Pirate King, you’ll have to prove it to me first!’ fight on his end, even if Luffy is fired up to dethrone him outright.

Power doesn't mature, it's mastered. Even if Shanks could somehow take Luffy's power he would need to learn to use it on his own. It's similar to how All for One in MHA doesn't try to take just anyone's power, only those he knows he can make the most use of in a short amount of time.
