dzfz2100 clear stop, Safin finishes his attack, can be seen on the slow mo more easily

Any by that same token, why wasn’t the hit around 16:37 also given to imboden if “attack no” is being so strictly enforced?

Friendguystarcraft I don’t see the stop? You mean the little hop he does before he launches the step lunge? Because Imboden is still going backwards when that hop happens. If imboden had attacked into prep during that hop, then I’d agree with you

dzfz2100 I think that's an iffy call, it does look more continuous than the first but he clearly gives his arm and finishes a step.

I'm afraid I still don't see the first one. If this were sabre, I totally get that the first presentation of the blade with the landing of the front foot would be "attack no"... but I didn't think that rule applied in foil.

Imboden is what makes America great . . . again.
