For me it's the first opening of Pokémon, but this is close to it. 😁

Now, no matter what the English dub does, I will be content with this.

I'm glad they brought back a large number of the original English cast, but I'm sad they didn't do THIS, at least for one episode! Awesome job for going the extra mile they wouldn't, man! You did great!

They didn’t have the rights, this song I believe technically belongs to fox now Disney since the original series ran on I believe FoxKids/Jetix could be wrong tho

@@RacurzNo…? Why would it belong to Fox and/or Disney? The dub was made by 4Kids which has since sold all the rights to the dub back to the animation studio since they’re the series’ original owners. Even all of 4Kids’s original music is owned by them which is why DiscoTek were able to use the 4Kids dub with its music plus the original Japanese raws when re-releasing that original version.

@@youngestlolita i has it saved for a really long time so i don’t remember exactly but basically the 2000’s version of the anime was officially running in a french streaming platform officialy for the first time and they add this clean version of the opening somehow I yoinked that

I guess but it's pointless if Sebastian is not voicing Yoh. Because Sebastian sang the opening in Yoh's voice.

They also had really talented voice actors in their casts. Sebastian Arcelus and Andrew Ranells were both part of the Original Anime's dub and would go on to work on Broadway.

I agree that nothing can compare with the old version, BUT 00:16 to 00:25 is the most epic combination of sound + image I ever seen

totally agree. i love original opening in english (although i think czech lyrics is better than english), but that part is wonderfull. combination of colours and-mainly- cuts in the rhytm of drums or what is that is great

What makes this song so great is that it encompasses everything that Shaman King portraits. Its opening is epic, its chorus is very mystical, then after the chorus it is calming, finally ending with a spectacle. Don't get me wrong, Oversoul (the JP OP) is a great opening for Shaman King, but the English Opening is Shaman King.

Loved this show as a kid still love it, watching the new version currently, good so far im ok with most of the changes but changing the iconic opening ill never forgive

Yep.. like most anime’s, reverting to the english sub because the english dub voice acting is just terrible. They did it right in the original. And they brought back a few of the same actors for this new one. But i just can’t handle Yoh’s voice in the new iteration of the show.

Yeah I wasnt expecting them to get Yoh's OG english VA, but I wasnt expecting him to sound like a woman....I think they were trying to sound like Gon from HxH but it just sound bad to me

@@dragongamerx12 but like I said in the second half of my comment I actually like Gon's english voice, and he starts the series at 10 and has a deeper voice than 2021 english yoh. Yoh just straight sounds like a woman, I was a 13 year old boy myself and I didnt hear anyone that sounds like 2021 yoh
