Gill is a true example of why the UK has always been known as GREAT BRITAIN. She is totally adorable, engaging and commands your full attention as the lesson progresses. Gill is completely calm and talks beautifully, and the viewer is drawn into listening to every word she says, and at the same time enjoying learning the lovely English language. God bless you, lots of love, and respect and admiration, from the USA, from a retired mother from of 9 children, one husband, and 11grandchildren, for you and your fun, clean and inspiring channel. I spent from 1987 until 2019 homeschooling all our children. I felt so privileged to be their teacher in every academic and special arts classes. I never tired of it. I enjoyed it completely. May you keep abounding in your passion for this channel, you've made it unique, and your teaching is laid out with the easiest learning techniques in mind, and you yourself, your style, personality, color, are a sensation in itself. I just finally had to take this moment, after years of watching your videos to write in the comments and let you know my warmest thoughts. Susan

My personal approach to ‘shall’. Shall has got at least three different meanings. 1. It refers to future actions in general and replaces ‚will’ 2. It refers to a very subtle obligation or an obligation someone is willing to follow voluntarily 3. It refers to an obligation in a legal context

In my childhood, we used Eccersley book sets where explaining future tense was just 'I/We shall', and I saw 'shall' fully written in the formal letters. Never in colloquial English. Only as you explained, shall I/we [do something]. My youngest children never saw "shall" in their school books!
