I doubt tank would sleep Shakur Stevenson. Shakur has one of the best defenses in the game. His opponents collectively average only 13.4% connect rate. The fact is tank gets hit more often than Shakur does. Styles make fights.

It also doesn't matter how much Tank gets hit bc Shakur isn't gonna stop him. He was getting tagged by Frank and kept coming forward and eventually stopped him. Same would happen to Shakur, you're not beating Tank by out boxing him unless you're Floyd or Sweet Pea. And Shakur isn't that, elite head movement and good footwork. But the lack of power and point fighting style he has is gonna get him knocked out by Tank.

Frank Martin was out boxing tank until he ran out of gas, I'm guessing the weight drain was the issue. Isaac Cruz is a pressure fighter and was able to hurt tank, but lacked the proper defensive capabilities allowing tank to land too many punches. Shakur may be boring but I'm not counting him out.

@@anthonywilson4181 Why do you doubt it? Also stop discrediting Tank. Frank wasn't weight drained, that wasn't his 1st fight at 135. Why didn't anyone else KO him if he was so weight drained? Fact of the matter is those body shots wore him down. And out boxing Tank doesn't matter bc he's not trying to win rounds. Shakur will out box him early, that will 100% happen. But Shakur doesn't have enough power to stop tank from walking him down. And unlike all those scrubs Shakur went against. Tank IQ is high enough to know head hunting vs Shakur is setting yourself up for failure. He's gonna target Shakur body and pressure him all night until he slows down and starts dropping his hands. I personally see their fight going similar to how Canelo vs Charlo went. Charlo was faster, more athletic, had power, great fundamentals....but when he went up against Canelo the power was just too much and he stopped fighting to win. That's exactly what will happen to Shakur to me. He'll outbox Tank early, until Tank puts up the high guard and starts stalking him. And the moment he lands 1 big shot Shakur will start fighting to survive.

Put Shakur next fight on the prelims. This is sad. Newark walked out on him.

Edwin want chasing shit. He stood there and pump faked and waited to counterpunch all night. Problem is, he was the challenger trying to best the champion so he needed to be on the front foot and force the action. He did all that barking just to stand there and wait for Shakur.
