Hats off to the Saudis for doing what these greedy American promoters with their soft flagship fighters aren’t doing. That is making quality fights happen. That being said Why are people taking it personal over what Madrimov said about Spence? Errol Spence had a good run but the truth is he was in steady decline ever since that 1st car accident and you could see the gradual deterioration in him over the course of his subsequent bouts. He wasn’t as fast as he used to be, he had become progressively inactive and his reaction time was becoming suspect. He had also regressed into becoming a predictable one trick pony with no layers to his game. Madrimov is SUPPOSED to say that and be CONFIDENT. He isn’t Spence. He takes care of himself, doesn’t do stupid reckless things outside the ring that could affect his in the ring performance and he’s staying active. He’s supposed to be CONFIDENT and no he isn’t Spence. He’s right. Does that mean he will win? No but it means that he is coming to win and to give his best and be in the best shape possible to defend his title unlike Spence who obviously was not in the position thanks to his obvious physical decline, questionable preparation, inactivity and lack of a more complete tool set, to challenge Crawford. You could tell Spence was in decline even when he beat that Cuban fighter and broke his eye socket. He was slow, much easier to hit and his reaction time was glaringly off. If the Cuban had used his jab and foot work and pivots as well as feints instead of standing in front of Spence and giving him a stationary willing target, he could have won that fight. And it would have been Ugas to beat Spence before Crawford did.
