The song is called “The Torture” and she talks about the torture she endured when he mistreated her and when they split up. He’s singing about the torture he endured because of remorse and not having her trust anymore. The last line she sings “keep on crying for forgiveness I will no longer cry over you.” ❤️❤️❤️

Tortura means torture. This is song is basically talking about her ex and how he left her for someone else but he keeps coming back and asking for forgiveness. One line she says “don’t come begging for forgiveness if you show up with your dry eyes and talking about her” and “it was torture losing you” he says “I know I haven’t been a saint but I can fix it, love” and when she (basically) says shes over it he says “it hurts that you don’t believe in my promises anymore”

Alejandro Sanz at that time was the most famous Spaniard singer and still is, and the best part for me is that Shakira and Alejandro create all their songs, not just a product for their voices. Before Shakira got blonde, her music was a diferent style, more rockish, you show react to "Ojos así" another song of hers where she dances bellydance and she did a little piece with the rope at the halftime Superbowl.

You should look to her 90's clips. They are kind of out of the "Latin" stereotypes. She used to be more rock, reggae and EDM/eurodisco. I would recommend "ciega, sordomuda", "estoy aquí" (her first international hit - huge success in Latam and Europe), "un poco de amor", "no creo" Do you know you really entered a world of one of the most successful Latin artists of all time? Shakira is really big, specially in Latin America, since the middle 90's. I'm Brazilian, here we speak Portuguese, but shakira is a big name here. In the 2000's she started conquering the world and maybe she's not that big now in the US maybe bc there's such a brutal environment for artists and she focused more on Latin market and in the rest of the world. For the record, she performed in 3 world cups (soccer) which is the world's greatest sport event (as relevant as superbowl is in the US). She was in Germany in 2006, S. Africa (2010) and Brazil (2014). I mean.. She's not a rookie... You would check this shows too in one video =) they don't have the same production factor as the superbowl's but give you a perspective of how important she is. Nice videos, guys. Cya

I Love Watching your reactions to Shakira because this is all music that I love but never really play anymore. I recently played "Inevitable" for my husband and he was hooked, he was like, play it again! That's more of a rock song, my all time favorite song by her is "Antología" great romantic song, idk if it would make for a fun video reaction but it's amazing if you are interested. Also LOVE Alejandro Sanz, he is a very famous Spaniard singer. He has a couple of songs in English but never fully crossed over, my favorite song by him "Aquello que me diste" cool video too.
