I find it very exclusionary, why wouldn't you want to understand the lyrics? You think Colombians don't look up translated lyrics for english songs? Here in Mexico everything in english is broadcasted with subtitles.

la tortura (the torture) is a song like the video is: the guy wanted a loose relationship cheating and shakira wanted a serious boyfriend. the spanish song pretty much tells what you see on the video. for example is a torture for alejandro sanz (witch is HUGE on latin america, like shakira but he refuses to sing on english thats why shakira never made a english version of the song even that there is an alternate version on an album with her parts redone and translated while his side (alejandro side) remains the same. alejandro suffers wanting shakira to be with him again, and shakira is tortured by the nice memories of both banging 12 hours a day then working. then he cheated on her. relationship finished.
