Alvarito Arguello as a Congolese I was very excited to see her representing Africa!!

As an African I never knew there was a dance called champeta until this review.. this style of dance is very common in west and central Africa wow... one thing is for sure I love shakira deeply, she's not ashamed of who she is and where her ancestors come from, for those who don't know that thing she did with her mouth is a traditional Arabian calling to announce a celebration.... Shakira always been one of my favorite Latinas because she aware of her history and not ashamed of her African roots, unlike most Famous latinas she's always showing diversity. We will forever STAN Shakira ❤

I'm Colombian of African descent. Shakira does not have African roots. Her roots are Asian (Lebanon by her dad) and European (Italy by her mom). She is from a Colombia's state where there are people with African ancestry and it's influenced by some African costums.

@@laupii1 lo que pasa es que en Barranquilla y casi toda la costa Colombiana se baila el soukus y Shakira hizo un pequeño homenaje a la cultura picotera que se vive aun en su tierra natal.

Jennifer Lopez was amazing. She did what girls half her age can't do. The way she lifted the Puerto Rico flag, it was totally a ground breaking moment. Also, her daughter is such a good singer. I loved this half time show.

When she broke into the Arabic music and bellydancing I SCREAMED lmfao she’s so talented. The Colombian AND Lebanese representation is such a breath of fresh air

JLo hizo un gran espectáculo pero lo de Shakira estuvo a otro nivel, le rindió homenaje al Rock, bailó Danza árabe, Mapalé, Salsa y Champeta, canto en 2 idiomas, además tocó guitarra y la batería, mejor dicho que berraca, la sacó del estadio!!!

I was crying, especially by Shakira. Im half Cameroonian and waka waka is originally a Cameroonian song. I love how they represented latino culture but Shaki also bringing other marginalized groups to the stage (Arab and African). It reminded me of Michael's performance

I really don’t get why people compare them so much. They both did it insanely amazing, I love them. This is going to be always the best performance ever.

NFL ask every singer to lip sync that is almost force they don’t have time for audio check and all the connection that ask for a live performance only 6 min for all that mean every artist that been in super bowl lip sync I think in the history of Super Bowl only 2 rock band did live and they say was a nightmare

jlo's daughter was singing for all the kids that are locked in cages. that's why she was inside the circle because it presents the cage that the kids are being held in.. ☹️ loved your reaction. it was one of the best Super Bowl half shows. they honestly both did an amazing job at presenting the latino community. I don't think they were lip syncing though but even if they did, they were dancing alot. its hard to sing & dance.. but like I said they did an AMAZING job.

It's both. The purple and yellow color scheme of the stage is the Kobe tribute, but the cages and born in the USA are the tribute to the detained children.

Mil veces Shakira y no los otros, aun que tu lista es muy buena, la verdad es que la colombiana tiene mucho que ofrecer en generos musicales y se me hiso muy corto el tiempo que ella estuvo en el escenario. Ok, this was THE BEST halftime show EVER. And y'alls reaction to it was absolutely perfect! I reacted the same way and thought I was the only one, but couldn't be happier to see that others got their minds blown by those beautiful hard working talented women... Both Jlo and Shakira were amazing, very different from each other and both representing Latinos! Also, their two performances complimented one another absolutely perfectly.... I am speechless...

I love the Spanglish and the pride they have. This is my favorite halftime show of all time.

That boy have the audacity to say “she looks like a superstar”. Wtf lol she is a legend.

You guys were so proud of everything that made us feel proud as well. I've watched this video like 15 times and I can't get enough! I simply love when they recognized the "champeta", it was like you could see yourselves there. Best reaction video I've seen so far.

That really was fantastic!!! That is going to be talked about for years to come. Everything about it, the dancing, the singing, the performing, the whole production was just Fabulous! Whoever put this whole thing together should get an award. And you wait and see, it is going to have a real positive impact on Shakira's and JLo's careers.

They were lip syncing. So many of you are so easily fooled and have such low standards they will continue to get lip syncing non sense every year

@@integrity101 They weren't lip syncing. They were singing throughout and at certain parts they had backing vocals which they had previously recorded live. That is not the same thing as lip syncing. Plus all the dancing and choreography they did was real. It was a fantastic performance by both ladies.

@@waynesworld5855 Their voices were NOT live. Watch it again. Look up how to spot lip syncing if u need to. Their was a ton of manipulation. If you think that was 100% live, you must not go to many live concerts. Most of it was clearly pre recorded. Learn how to spot it & Watch it again.

@@integrity101 So to you they were just lip syncing everything, not actually singing. They must be two of the greatest lip sync'ers ever. Especially Shakira when she was singing Empire or when JLo and her daughter were singing. They are just two unbelievably good lip sync artist. People should take lessons from them (Especially future half-time artist), they should open up a school perhaps.

Spectacular performance! Some people cant get over the fact that 2 strong, talented, influential, sexy Latinas burned this stage. It makes them uncomfortable that these 2 artists are comfortable with who their roots. They both showcase a little taste of what Latin america is in their unique styles. Latin America is such a rich culture with diversity in their music, culture, food, their people etc. Shakira showed a multi cultural, multi talented performance and JLo made a strong political statement alongside her daughter. This is the best half time show I can remember. Each of them deserved their own Super bowl show. Great reaction.

I need friends like the guy with the hat on the front. He knew exactly Champeta, Mapale, gave credit to the little details that made an impact to the latino community. I get shivers just by watching you guys react to this.

"I want to cry 'cause this is amazing" I felt that, dude. The pride of being latinos and represented like that.

Shakira amazed me big time, she always does... J Lo did good, more of the same but good still. Waiting for the Shakira world tour 2021 that was already announced.

as it’s been confirmed none of them were lip syncing. you can clearly tell that it’s live but when they’re dancing and singing at the same there’s some background music

You have to lip sync in superbowl. They record a live performance then play it back at halftime so that you dont say anything youre not supposed to say

Me encantó que a ustedes le encantara, Ja. Soy de Puerto Rico y la bandera que JLo desplegó es la de Puerto Rico. Creo que este show estuvo brutal, como decimos acá, hasta el punto que yo publiqué en Facebook que, quién ganó el Super Bowl después de esta presentación de JLo y Shakira y, uno de mis hermanos me comentó, "¿qué juego?" Jajajaja. Un orgullo de verdad por nuestras dos artistas latinas. Quería decirles que loas nenes en las "jaulas" era en representcacón de los hijos de inmigrantes; una leve protesta. Como también lo de las dos banderas porque, aunque los puertorriqueños somos americanos, no se nos da el trato igual que a los estados.
