The drumming is inspired by a traditional Korean dance. The women in the sauna shaking their heads towards the end represent traditional female baths in Morocco, there's a symbolism behind it too. The male dancer is a Filipino-American, the video director from the UK, the choreographer from Iceland and our lovely Colombiana is putting them all together. Gotta love Shakira.

To me her peak was laundry service era. The best music, music videos and performances and she looked gorgeous with her black hair roots. Just my opinion.

As a dancer I put Shakira as one of the most versatile female dancers ever, natural, flexible incredible. This was a such a underrated song and video, the whole She wolf CD should of done better I love it

I find it very interesting that the Spanish version of this song seems more like the "morning after" instead of a translation. This song in English is very "in the moment". Very passionate. While the Spanish version is very reflective and melancholic in a way.

yeah, as a Spanish speaker is interesting, I remember in some interview she said she writes the song first in English and then she makes the Spanish version as Spanish is her mother language, something similar happens with gypsy, in Spanish the lyrics are softer and sweeter.
