I noticed when I was talking in the video, I called the fish species I caught a Bluegill. It was actually a Black Crappie. Just an FYI in case you noticed.

I love reviews like this, people buy the cheapest thing around, abuse this shit out of it, the complain that they didn't get their money's worth. These rods are WORTH way more than they cost, but they're not top of the line either.

My rod tip just broke but i used it quite a bit for 7 months. It was a 7' but with new rod tip its alittle smaller. I caught a big size trout.

I caught my PB largemouth on the 4’ 6” version 3lb 15 oz and he had that little rod bent double! I found that little rod was bulletproof between that and huge sunfish and decent catfish. The only thing that broke it was me accidentally dropping a box on the midsection

Dang that is awesome! I really don't have a clue how I broke the tip on it. I bet that was fun to bring that fish in on that rod haha

Hey TriStar... This is common from these rods for one reason- shipping! When you get them at Wal-Mart inspect it close for cracks and hair fractures. They get damaged even on the shelf. I have the 4'6" and the 7'0" both came with the reel for around $20. But my all time favorite is a Shakespeare Cirrus medium 6.5' it is smooth and has caught so many lmb. I know that's not an UL but I run 4# test and love it for $20. Just a FYI

I have a couple of these I use for the Shad run. They're great rods for the price, but you have to inspect them really well before you buy them. When they're shipped to Walmart they aren't individually packaged, they're all tangled up together in a big mess. More than half I've looked at in the store have damage that would cause stuff like this to happen. Just my two cents.

Lmao, dude doesn’t even know it’s a 2 piece rod, then breaks it in the back of his truck, and what I’m not supposed to buy one? Dude I have ultralight rods that are probably more than 20 years old that I still use and have never broken. Take care of your rods and they will last. By the way, I just bought the 7 footer about 1/2 hour ago and I can almost tie it in a knot...$30 for a 7 foot super light rod with a fully spooled reel is phenomenal deal, super cheap, but I’ll take reasonable care of it and I’ll be using that rod 5-6 days a week for the next 25 years(hopefully I live that long, 40+ already)

I liked it for the price point. I have no clue how it broke. But for $15 bucks, I caught enough fish on it to make it worth it.

You probably bruised it pulling a lure into it. That’s what usually happens in that situation.

I agree people don't realize all that it takes is a little bruise on even $600 rods and they will snap right off. It is probably glass rods he is stepping on. They are far more durable, but heavier and less sensative as well.

I love people that spend hundreds on tackle with the perception it catches more fish. Just like a $70k bass boat as if that catches more fish than a $5000 Jon boat
