I was watching cormorants swimming. A woman told her son that the birds l was watching were beavers. Next day and every day afterwards, she was still calling every bird, including ducks and herons, beavers. And she was being serious. Showing her that these were birds didn't help. Telling the names of each species didn't help. She still teaches kids and points at the birds in the water and tells them they're beavers.

There's not enough good words that could be said for this video! Amazing! Wonderful! Beautiful! Unique! Educational! Quality! You just really did a bang up job! I've wanted to see underwater footage of diving birds, such as the Cormorant and the Anhinga!! Both were high on my list of what I wanted to see underwater. Thank you for sharing this great video!

I'd never seen a cormorant in my life and saw one for the first time from my son's balcony that overlooked a canal in Scince Park, Amsterdam. It dived and swam a long way, and I was so impressed. Now I love these birds.

I saw a great white egret on land at the lake’s edge, preparing to swallow a large fish it had just caught. A cormorant shot out of the water like a torpedo, trying to steal the fish. But the attempt failed.

We already do use animals to help in our work. Even cormorants can be tamed and taught to bring back fish to their owners, they tie some rope around the animal's neck to stop them swallowing the fish. Its pretty cool.
