When it came to purchasing sides for my 23Zero (had to save, as they are almost the same as the 270 Falcon awning itself), I found out that 23Zero had ceased offering the solid sides & only the Deluxe sides (more expensive) were available! This lead to a search for alternatives, it was how I found Shady Gear.
Now, I am not comparing apples with apples, as Shady Gear privacy sides are not solid sides, they give some protection without taking away your view.
So why did I opt for them??? It was NOT a cheaper option by time you have paid for the customised zips (or attachments) and then the shades themselves. They are however, considerably lighter and easier for a solo traveller to put up and secure.
I found I loved my shades, I could sit out and enjoy the view without getting overly hot from the sun or the wind & oh boy was it tested in the wind..!
I will get the additional 2 shades to close off the sitting area but found just the 2 sides up gave me enough shade for my last trip.
