Beautifully written and produced. Very sad and tragic. Loved both of the main characters' love for each other and how their artistic abilities added an interesting element to the script.

I watched this movie quite some time back, and it was equally moving the second time around. Well done Charlie.

I love the idea of having a one true love. To all of you that have been blessed to have rated kind of love, I think this movie is dedicated to you. As for the rest of us like me. It will always be a beautiful dream. Stay strong and never give up!

What a beautiful love story film,it was so sad and moving,i was choked and the tears were flowing right to the end. Don't know why people can hate two men or two women for falling in love. At the end of the day you can not choose who you fall in love with. We can only be lucky if that love comes along and lasts a lifetime. Which mine has , still have the love of my life after 40 Years. I enjoyed the film especially with the beautiful Charlie David , in it.

Charlie, I have never in all my life , seen such a sweet and beautiful movie about the love that comes from two people who truly care about one another. I cried and thought what it would be like to have a life like that. I'm in my 70's now and my life hasn't turned out to be the life that I thought I was going to be. I too have thought about ending it all but I can't bring myself to do it. I've prayed and have gotten no answer. I've thought, does he truly exist? If so, why won't he tell me something? No one talks to me anymore. I just live alone with my little dog and find myself talking to him let alone myself. I hope it's alright to tell you this like I'm doing like I say, I don't have anyone that will listen, so forgive me for unloading like this. If there is help for an old fool like myself, could you direct me towards them? Anymore, I don't care what happens to me, my 3 brothers don't call or talk to me. I was almost in a diabetic coma a month ago and no one came to see how I was. So your movie really touched me. I wish I could have had a Rudy by my side to see me through the rough weather. Anyway, good luck with the future and I hope to see more of your beautiful shows. I think my problem is that my heart is to big. Love to you, David.

David -- even if there is not an LGBT Center near where you live, there should be a mental health office or crisis line you can call. There should also be some sort of senior citizen center or group you can get active in. I'm in my 60s, a gay man living alone in a red state in the middle of rural USA. But I am not lonely. I keep busy with tons of volunteer work. There is such a need for volunteers everywhere for people of all ages, skills, and health conditions. It is a great way to meet people, help your community and stay relevant. I urge you to get out and get active.

David, you are a beautiful person, don't despair because you have certainly done a lot of good in your life! You definitely have some memories and moments that were worth living for. I'm half your age and I struggle with recurring depression and addictions. Sometimes I stop wanting to live, but then I remember the words from a book I read, that every life, even the saddest, has its own meaning. You just have to understand it and it may even take your whole life... If you are needed by someone, even your dog, it also gives meaning to your life. Stay strong, I hug you tight ❤❤❤

At 74, widowed, lonely, given up on God, I struggle from day to day, sometimes even minute to minute to find peace and comfort in this world of torment and the unknown. Not being able to share your thoughts and feelings with someone that would truly listen, is heart wrenching. I would love to hear from you and listen to your life's story. You have a new friend, Scott.

OK, this was the most tragic love story I've seen in a long time. Love is love. And if you are so lucky to have found it, you've found a treasure worth more then gold. And I am jealous.

Damn you Charlie! I thought those wounds closed 40 years ago, but no. You found them and struck them, and now I can't stop crying. My Xavier was taken from me 40 years ago on New Years Eve, his name was Daniel. My Danny. I still wear the ring I gave him that Christmas, and I'll wear it the day they light my pyre. "Breathe deeply of him, But not to deep. Every day the scent of him Grows fainter, ... more far away." No it doesn't. It will be 41 years this NYE, and still the burning, aching maw in my soul reminds me of him. His golden curls, his impish smile, the devilish spark in his crystal blue eyes, him bouncing on the bed like a 5 year old on Christmas morning, and the searing pain where my heart once was when the sheriff came for me to identify the body. I know Rudy's lament - I've never been able to give my heart so completely, nor find such joy, as with my Danny. So now, while I sit here cussing you for opening those wounds, I'll thank you as well. For reminding me that I once knew love like this.

It's so sad that none of his friends tried to send him help like getting therapy....I saw how he ignored his dad's call but when you have a close loved one who goes through a very hard time and they suddenly become more and more reclusive as the days go by, REACH OUT!!! PAY THEM A VISIT!!! TALK TO THEM!!! take them to a professional therapist.

I have truly been blessed having seen this short film. How we all want someone to love us, as Rudy and Xavier loved each other. The picture Rudy painted was so AWESOME and REAL, I wasn't too surprised when it came to life in the end. Did I cry, well is the pope Catholic?? 2-hankies, perhaps more!! I'm still shaking. Please, I want this short to be included in my DVD/Blu-Ray library.

Saw someone poetic after so long. We all can agree to the ending being tragic and non relatable to the current generation if I may dare say. But the nuances of the neverending loop of living and losing everyday is an emotion which has no parallel. It makes us think about the void that love actually is and not the void that it leaves in our hearts.

En este magnífico film, Ch. David se interna sin ambages en las profundas aguas de su creación, enalteciendo los anhelos entre hombres, con una narrativa justa y escenas con lenguaje cinematográfico amorosamente concisas. La música nunca mejor elegida. También se lanza sin prejuicios religiosos a desnudar el alma humana ante el insondable dolor y conmueve hasta la ensoñación con el sobrio final de "LA PIETA". ¡Sublime!
