Sylvanas' actions at Teldrassil were done specifically to feed as many souls as possible to the Maw, and all the innocent night elves which perished there have all ended up in the Maw. By the time of the current events in the game, the Arbiter of the Shadowlands has gone silent and is no longer judging the new souls which have arrived to the afterlife, and because of this, the Jailer has somehow arranged that all of the souls of all of the dead in all mortal realms are sent directly into the Maw, with the intent of breaking free from it, by using all the anima these souls have brought. Just imagine how many people died and how many souls were sent to the afterlife in the wars that affected Azeroth since Arthas was defeated atop Icecrown Citadel: The Cataclysm and the war agains Deathwing and the Twilight's Hammer, the conflicts in Pandaria, on Draenor against the Iron Horde and against Gul'dan, then the third invasion of the Burning Legion and the battles on the Broken Isles and on Argus, ending with the Fourth War between the Horde and the Alliance with the Burning of Teldrassil, the battle of the Undercity and all the conflicts in Kul Tiras, Zandalar, Mechagon and ending with the war against queen Azshara and the last Old God, N'zoth. Sylvanas has taken advantage of all this conflict to grow more powerful alongside the Jailer.

@@LawrencesBeyond 2 days from now, a new animated short will appear, and 2 more after in the following weeks, for the other 3 realms if the Shadowlands. I am sure more clarity will be brought to the current situation before the game arrives almost 2 months from now. There is also a new Warcraft novel titled "Shadows Rising" which furhter explains the actions and consequences of Sylvanas and her loyalists including Nathanos Blightcaller and his current wereabouts.

IT'S BACK ! It's Warcraft season again my friend and I'm so excited for the next months to come... many new stories and content will unveil themselves over the next few weeks (starting this Thursday with a new short!) as we delve deeper and deeper into the Shadowlands... I missed your Warcraft videos so much and it is truly a great pleasure to be back on track again ! It is true that the past few months have been pretty silent on WoW's side of things... but Shadowlands is only two months away now! Every animated series seems even more beautifully done than the one preceding... Can't wait to watch your reaction to the next ones ! Expect beautiful surprises :)

Uther: Now Prepared

I think Uthers soul is still split even after Frostmourne was destroyed. In my opinion Uther wouldn't have thrown Arthas in to the Maw if he was "whole". He was very just when he was alive but not in this vindictive way he is now. No taking justice into your own hands but due process. The Uther in the Bastion is angry, vindictive, sad and in pain but he doesn't seem to be capable expressing other more positive emotions. As Devos said he is broken. It is like Arthas and Uther switched roles. Arthas is free of Frostmourne's influence and Uther isn't all there and personally judges Arthas out of spite and doing whatever he wants.

The line, "Father, is it...over?", from Ice Crown Citadel, indicates Arthas was not aware of his actions while under control of the Lich King. This means Uther just bypassed judgement for an innocent. There can be no justice without judgment. At best, Arthas will be tormented for eternity. At worst, he has been returned to the Jailer, to be used again for future evil deeds.

1. The denizens of the Shadowlands can't interfere with the world of the living, so no they can't stop Arthas becoming the Lich King. By the time Devos talk with Uther on the matter, he would already been the Lich King anyway. 2. Sylvanas' and Uther's deaths are similar because they both have their souls suck out by Frostmourne. Uther's soul split are theorized to be because the Light answered his last words to save his soul. 3. Uther's action is not justice. In fact, Arthas is likely does not belong in the Maw. And because Devos fear he would be judged differently, break the law and make matters worse. All the anima Arthas have is going directly to the Jailer. Also, the part of Uther trapped in Forstmourne already forgave Arthas, knowing he doesn't have any control over his body. We also know that the small part of Arthas left inside the Lich King is what hold back the Scourge from rampaging across the world. Again showing the likelihood he would be judged more leniently.

The new Drakka short shows her traveling all around to places of the living. I'm not sure if they can just spy, or what. But I was surprised to see that. I thought the Shadowlands was a roach motel.

@@Tijuanabill It shown a an area with Legion's demons, but we aren't sure where (since the Shadowlands consist of other worlds' inhabitants as well.) But the whole point of the Shadowlands is being the afterlife of the Warcraft universe, and beside the Jailer meddling they shouldn't have any agency with the living world (being partial and all that). Plus, it would make no sense to a lot of the lore if the Shadowlands can interfere with the living world but did nothing throughout all the major events thus far.

The light blinds you the also shadows deceive you.....and the true terror that I have seen is yet to come.....The void still hu...n..g......e....r.........s...........

Uther has been wrong at every turn. He was wrong at Strathholme about the plague. He was wrong about the Scourge. He was wrong about Arthas. And he is wrong here. The poor guy's entire plot line is him being kept in the dark or not believing what he is told.
