Thanks for watching and for your suggestion! I'll conside it.
This movie is really underrated. I love how they fool you several times at the beginning of the film with things that at first seem like a UFO. Like the silver frisbee, the airship and the water tower. The movie is one of my favorite 80's movies.
The soundtrack is hypnotic! Especially "Robot Romp," when David escapes.
I love how this movie plays around with tones. Like in the beginning you think it’s gonna be an eerie mystery film, and then it turns into a kid friendly comedy. But the remarkable thing is that they make the tone shifts work :)
This is a little jewel indeed. The effects were amazing , even today because it is the important balance between practical effects and CGI to avoid the "Uncanny Vally" effect.

I agree. It's why movies like the original Terminator still hold up pretty well to this day. Practical effects and models never age quite as badly as 3D effects and models do. Plus the movie was just made at the perfect time for it - the style, the music, the story ... the whole thing screams 80s. That's why I think a modern "remake" (which is never going to be the same cos they love to change far too much any time they make a supposed remake) won't stand up as well, and won't have the same feeling to it or cult following. The movie is now "out of its time" ... kind of like how David felt about having to live in the modern times (or his future) and realising he just didn't fit in any more.
This movie made film history
There's a 40 minute "How it was done" video of Flight of the Navigator. It was amazing how massive the spaceship models were and how they hid the camera from being shown in the ship's reflection.
When I was a kid, one of the guys my dad worked with, a guy who lived near us, and who's kids I knew had his son vanish out of his room in the night, never to be seen again. The kid was 6 or 7 I think, a few years younger than me. It was a really bad deal.
Great movie from my youth dude
Hi 👋 ok I remember waching it wen I was about his age to
And that must be big AL!
This movie is one of our favourites, in spite of Paul Reubens being involved, and I have to say - its his best performance as M.A.X.

@@LawrencesBeyond you welcome anytime I can't wait for more videos
Believe it or not most of this movie was small miniature models. Only 16 shots or so were not models. There is a video on KZread you can watch about how they did most of the shots of this movie.
Classic flick
12:00 Hey guys, I really don't think I want you reading my mind.
Imagine you went into the future 10 years when you were 12, you met this really cool lady you liked a lot who was 22, then you went back to your own time. Do you now go looking for the really cool lady who is now your age?

You need better headphones.
You are YOUNG. That's Dr. Johnny Fever from WKRP IN CINCINATTI. He was also good in CLUE. The Police Academy movies (all 7 of them) are as worthless as Steve Guttenberg's Career.
You really really need to work on your sound man , sorry but its a thumbs down.
