    Imo this makes it sound like Radahn as a Consort would be considered with consent as Radahn wants a battle still and thus he wants the greatest battle which would be against Tarnished for Miquella. With the way Freyja discusses it. Radahn just likes battle and glory and prefers it over being dead. As for Mohg. How did Miquella forsake Mohg's Soul?

  • @DrGrimReaperGaming

    @DrGrimReaperGaming

    4 күн бұрын

    @@CloudWithoutASky I mean there's always the possibility that Radahn's followers misunderstand him, yes he might enjoy battles and defeating foes but it doesn't necessarily mean he wants to always fight. So he could want the greatest battle of Miq Vs Tarnished but there is a chance we have misunderstood as well and actually doesn't want this and would rather be dead have a his rest. They don't explain I believe how Mohg's soul was forsaken, either for plot convenience or to keep it a mystery and for people to theorise. I can only assume whatever Miq did to transfer Radahn's soul over, he took Mohg's soul out of the body and then just abandoned it and in Universe that might mean complete oblivion.

    I'm not sure if Radahn is. If he wants to be Elden Lord (which seems very plausible to me, seeing as he loves war and greatly admires both Godfrey and Radagon, the two previous Elden Lords), what better choice does he have for an Empyrean to raise to godhood than Miquella? Ranni refuted her status, Malenia wants Miquella to be god, and Marika has disappeared.

    In hindsight I think Miquella using Radahn this way makes a lot of sense. Miyazaki is a huge fan of berserk and Miquella is absolutely inspired by Griffith. The way everyone fawns over him, the way people look up to him and even his character design. Miquella views Radahn in the same way that Griffith views Guts. It isn’t “love” in the romantic sense, it’s possessive and about control. Radahn was the strongest demigod and Miquella wanted to possess that power in order to advance his dream. So he uses his most loyal soldier, Malenia, to acquire the thing he really wants. Once he had that he abandons her to rot and everyone else he was sheltering at the haligtree. He then mind controls Mohg so he can enter the dream world, casting away his flesh so he can be reborn as a god and create his own kingdom. Then he uses Mohgs flesh to trap Radahns soul and essentially make him a puppet. And the worst part is that everyone loves him for it. Malenia and everyone at the Haligtree dies believing in him, Mohg dies believing in him. And he uses them like chess pieces. Miquella might be the most sinister villain fromsoft has ever created.

    having godwyn's soul dead and his body an empty vessel, they could just take mohg's soul and put it in godwyn, having the soul and mind of a horny and willing mohg in the body of a brother miquella had some sort of affection for would make perfect sense (mohg + godwyn = mohgwyn, which is what mohg spews out right before his death) just recently ive recently read a majority of berserk and found it surprisingly mediocre, it's main strength and reference point being mostly based on shock value and devil fetish pornography. the fact that they butchered the grandiose, mythological mystique of the base game's story for a cheap copy of the thing i just cannot find interesting however hard i try drives me to the verge of disappointment harder than cuddly miquella's smooth cheeks draw in the unholy fork of a certain minor attracted individual to whom we all owe an apology. sad finale.

    To cast more doubt into Miquella's plan. in the St. Trina dungeon, one of his rune-footsteps mention that he has 'cast aside his love.' The spirit nearby even mentions that Miquella crossed the line here, and later St. Trina begs you NOT to let Miquella ascend. Even if his plan of an age of Compassion comes to pass, it doesn't really sound as good as it does if he is no longer capable of feeling love. Its simply an Age of Control.

Saint Trina seeks to protect Miquella from the bondage of being a deity, that is self-love. Miquella had to let go of what was good for himself to obtain the power to serve everyone in his kingdom. Clearly he has sacrificed just as much as his flowers sacrificed to obtain compassion, leading by example.

    It's quite an astonishing testament to From's writing ability that Miquella went from a well meaning kind soul with ambitions of a better world yet victimized by the world around him, to quite possibly the most monstrously twisted and vile control freak demigod of the lot making a victim of the world around him in the span of barely 3 days, a fact that is more fucked up since he never shows any direct malice, he believes HE IS Miquella "the kind", that his actions are that of a good heart for a good future, that even the lives and ambitions of his own blood are forfeit (Not a new thing Ranni killed Godwyn and is probably fine that you murk Radahn but Miq does it in such a backhanded ruinous way), The haligtree is a trick that lures the hopes of the downtrodden with a land of salvation never to arrive, Melania was literally his blade, maybe he loved her as his sister, but he used her as a tool, Mohg was unknowingly manipulated into a plan that would never work just to die while Miq slips into the shadow lands free form outer gods and Radahn promised consort of not became a mindless scarlet rotten husk then a puppet for a god. That's to say absolutely nothing about the fact that every single NPC looking for Miquella minus Leda in the DLC is under his bewitchment, something that only breaks when he literally breaks his great rune/breaks it himself ( A bewitchment he can even force upon you, the most powerful tarnished to have ever probably lived), At least with the other 6 demigod's you know what your getting into and you serve them of your own free will, you serve Godrick your doing grafting and probably not getting on that elden throne, you serve Morgott your defending the erdtree and punishing tarnished with ambition, you serve Miquella because he makes you, because he twists your entire world and perception of him without a second thought or care (Like the Mohg servant). Miq want's to build a kind world in the most unkind way possible and in the end even if he kills us and all that opposes him that world will never be kind, never be rid of evil's or monsters like he want's, because no matter how many he purges there will always be 1 monster he simply cannot purge away.

    @@justinmcdonald2072 While yes you are technically correct in that it is simply who they are and most of them if they put the effort in could become a god if they so desired (some much easier than others like Godrick compared to Rykard while some just don't seem to desire that, like Morgott just wanting to serve the erdtree and be accepted) i still feel my point's with Miquella being the worst of them still stands. To expand on a previous point i made a bit more every single demigod you encounter in the game has their own title or epitaph given to them by their followers or the lands between as a whole and all of them are generally straight forward as to who they are and what they do, Godrick is a grafted monster, Mohg is the lord of blood and devotee to the formless mother, Rykard is the lord of blasphemous practices and at war with the erdtree, but miquella the kind is not a title given, it is a title projected, so many of his followers in the DLC are under HIS bewitchment so see him how he want's them to see him, how he sees himself, the kindest demigod, the kindest god soon to make a kind world where all HE deems evil will be erased. And yeah while all the Demigods are massive cunt's in their own way to a degree Miquella could be outright considered a sociopath which is why his kind title is such a fucked lie, he has no care for the feelings or actions of those around him only his own, he is above the idea of morality or good and evil believing himself kind and just in every aspect of his being, every asset of his long plan sacrifices someone or something including those suppose to be closest to him using them as nothing but tools and pawns (again not a new thing Ranni killed Godwyn and we kill Radahn for her but she seems to only really directly kill shit when it's in her way, Miquella 5d chess fucks up everything), he more than likely considers every follower of his, the people he bewitches into mental slavery or those that throw their lives away to follow him as tools or even little ants and in the end he only faces us, the last lord of an old order when we have outlived OUR usefulness to him (Killing Radahn, Mohg and every other being that could dare challenge him) and the deck is so astronomically stacked in his favour that he cannot possibly lose. Edit: Plus he's literally following in Marika's footsteps both figuratively and literally with the whole game of Elden ring itself coming about from the consequences of Marika becoming a god, so what would make Miquella's age of "kindness" any different than his mother's, it would be just as prone to failure and ruin the age of gold with all that would truly ever change is which people are being persecuted.

    Miquella is definitely the most fearsome of the Empyreans, as he acts in the way G.F.W Hegel describes as purely evil. He says a person who acts with disregard to the resposibility their actions entail, i.e. the destruction of Mohg's soul, the disregard for the free will of Radahn, etc., viewing himself as 'truly good' and 'compassionate', that is to say, above all morality, makes him, ironically, the most evil of all the Empyreans.

    Miquella is the “child” prodigy of the bunch. He was cursed to never wield his empyrean godhood/demi-godhood and therefore had to develop means of rising to power otherwise. This is where Mohg and Radahn come in. Mohg was Miquella’s initial consort, who followed him with blind devotion. Radahn was however the most sought. Miquella’s plan all along was to pit Malenia against radahn. Either would win. He knew this would accelerate Malenia’s rot regardless of the outcome, thus taking Malenia out of the race. And should radahn fall or die, he would then be resurrected with mohg’s body anyway as a mindless puppet with no will. He accounted for both. Radahn would not survive rot after the battle and malenia’s condition would worsen. Radahn did not want to serve miquella, he didn’t want to serve anyone. But rather be a force of his own volition. Which is where it loops back into radahn needing to die anyway, to then be brought back as a puppet. Mohg believed he was bringing miquella back in his actual body to then serve as his champion. This is why he was guarding/sustaining Miquella’s body within the egg. However, it was actually backwards. Mohg was only sustaining Miquella’s life force long enough for his soul to possess radahn once radahn fell. This is why players must kill the both of them to access the dlc. Mohg must be dead to complete the transferral ritual and radahn must be dead for him to then be revived as a mortal shell, free of rot/free to be possessed by miquella. Basically, miquella is a 300 iq genius. He didn’t have physical prowess, so had to act as a tactician. Basically killed himself, only to set up a grand plan where he could around hang around as a soul, to then later possess the strongest warrior in the entire land. And like scooby doo, it would’ve worked if not for us mettlesome tarnished.

    😂😂The end comment killed me, but I think this is a good explanation as to his motives and what he planned, as since we now know he is self serving and potentially evil, it puts into question if he ever really cared for his sister or was it all a ploy to garner sympathy.

    I’m just astonished when I say: Miquella still has one a redeeming quality. The Haligtree. He made it for the Accursed races (Misbegotten, Omens, Demi-Humans, Etc.) to have a safe haven from enslavement or persecution. Basically a second Erdtree. Then there’s the Unalloyed needle for Malenia to combat the scarlet rot. Now I understand as an Emperyean he NEEDS a Lord in order to ascend into Godhood, but to use Mogh, an already Damned demigod by birth to gain access to the Land of Shadow and his body as a vessel. To then send his sister to face off against Radahn to claim his soul for a Consort is…messed up. Its literally like Seluvis’s puppets. But Miquella is Seluvis and Radahn is Nerfelli. Also, I think the whole Consort thing is just a “power” or “political” dynamic just to ascend and create the Age of Abundance (Miquella’s scrapped Rune) I don’t think there’s a sexual connection but I could be wrong. So let me get this straight. At first Miquella only wanted a world in which her sister could live in health forever, to cure her from her Rot. When all his efforts resulted to failure, I presume Malenia comforted him nonetheless. She was his blade and forever would be. So Miquella designed another plan: he would create a world where no one has to endure pain and hurt, a world of compassion. He searched all his life for the truth about Marika and the very foundation of her kingdom. He discovered its “rotten roots” as Ymir puts it and so talked to Radahn: become my consort since you’re the only good and strong guy in our family and let’s create a new order. Radahn accepted on the condition he would confront Malenia in lethal combat, to have one last superb battle before death. But he didn’t die because he was too strong, Malenia couldn’t defeat Radahn but only turn him into a giant beast eaten away by the scarlet rot. Miquella didn’t know this because he knew that in order for a soul to return he would need a vessel: Mogh’s body. So he charmed Mohg, hid himself in a cocoon under the false pretence of “growing up into a god” and let himself be kidnapped by the Omen Lord. I believe the plan was for Malenia to kill Mohg after defeating Radahn so that both soul and vessel could be found in the Land of Shadow “where all manners of death” go to instead of the Erdtree (no longer capable of absorbing souls). But that didn’t happen. Malenia would hope someone else could defeat Mohg while she waited his brother’s return in full godhood. So she dreamed of that future: her body was completely replaced by “dull gold” and “her blood rotted.” Malenia was ready to become his brother automaton, to be his blade for eternity and defend Miquella’s reign of compassion and kindness. But we killed her. We killed Radahn and we killed Mohg. We were instrumental to Miquella’s plan. Compassion. As if, he abandoned her sister, he abandoned everyone to pursuing godhood not understanding that it’s naive to think that that much power wouldn’t corrupt or reveal something darker in him. As St. Trina says: “the poor thing” could never endure godhood. Mohg was rejected by everyone, by his own mother, he just wanted to share the love he felt from the Formless Mother. He was twisted in his ways, sinister and disgusting, absolutely. And his Omen body was to be used by Miquella who could never accept an Omen as his Lord. Miquella chose his half brother as his betrothed. That is disgusting beyond measure. I hate Miquella with a passion lol

The description on Radahn's new armor set implies that he did make a deal with Miquella but that doesn't mean he wasn't bewitched even before the shattering. @@DrGrimReaperGamingI was thinking people say Marika is evil, I think she Is more grey than actually just a evil person, why do I think so? In the great scheme of stuff yes marika did horrible shit to arrive to where she was but I feel she was manipulated by the greater will a lot, cause to me it woudnt make sense for marika the great manipulator that litteraly did all that stuff and than just save the omen twins cause they were her children they are like giant liability to all she stood for even if they are her kids during that time , but also why I think this is cause it would make sense for marika and miquella to be a reflection of each other mirrored but not the same. It’s likely marika did all that shit to create a world she thought was gonna be a better world same as miquella but in the end, the greater will Preaty much tricked her cause than if u look at all the stuff she did and the dialogue of when Melina speaks for marika I think, she realized she was tricked and started to regret it all. , the treatment of the people like the omens and after I feel was more a panicked response to the fact shit wasn’t going as the greater will told her, so she started to doubt and then realized later that the golden order was not perfect at all and it was all a lie and she started to get desperate and having remorse. Cause think about it as much as radagon was more kind than marika, radagon rapresenting the law of regression would want stuff to go back to how it was see him trying to fix the Elden ring instead of actually fixing what was wrong aka the golden order itself, marika likely wanted to free herself and the world cause she realized she was wrong unlike miquella which had the opposite happen, his human side st Trina realized he was wrong but miquella didn’t want to listen, meanwhile marika realized she was wrong but radagon didn’t cause he couldn’t because of his concept of regression he rappresents. What do u think? Cause marika than put on all those plots to destroy the golden order by helping rani getting stuff for her plan and start the shattering, cause when marika says that she and randagon the little hound of the golden order should be shattered and that he is a blind fool, I think that made it clear what at the end marika intensions were, she regrets what happened and the fact it was all a lie and considering the plan with the tarnished was to have them try again and again until Someone strong enough could beat the Elden beast and the greater will out of the world they lived in. I don’t know maybe I might be remembering or misinterpreting stuff but what do u think?

  • @DrGrimReaperGaming

    @DrGrimReaperGaming

    Ай бұрын

    @@federicofilippini6780 I think you're correct with Marika being more grey than evil, as I believe there isn't good or evil per say in this world just different shades of grey. At the time before the release of the DLC many people thought the actions she and Mess took upon the Hornsent were pretty evil and that she destroyed an entire civilisation so that she was able to create her own, but various pieces of lore give us the implication that the Hornsent was just as "evil" as Marika was and how they would abuse other tribes/people they thought were inferior, so her war against them could be seen as heroic since she wanted to bring down their civilisation and make a new and brighter one. Which would explain why she and the rest of the Golden Order hated anything to do with the crucible and horns because they're from a time where people were unhappy and Marika doesn't want to be reminded of that fact, and whilst she hated anything to do with that she couldn't bring herself to harm her own children even if they did represent everything she hated and so hid them in the sewers. I do agree with you that Miq and Marika almost seemed to mirror eachother, that from our point of view both have done some pretty horrific stuff in the name of their order but in their eyes they HAVE to do this so that they can create a future where this doesn't need to happen anymore, but this can cause an endless cycle of someone not agreeing with their actions and wanting to kill them for it, and so they do horrific stuff in the name of stopping Miq or someone else and on and on it goes. I also agree with the point that Marika was starting to realise the Golden Order wasn't what she hoped it would be, due to the small little tidbits we can find in the base game and DLC, that she either started to regret her actions or planned to bring down her Order and by extension the Greater Will, which I will discuss later thereby freeing the world. I do agree that whilst Marika started to realise her mistake, Miq went the other way and permanently removed his ability for doubt and regret so that he could do any action he deemed necessary for his age, as he got rid of St Trina which in my opinion was his compassion and so by doing this he would never be able to reverse the actions he done because he is literally incapable of it. One thing I currently disagree with is that the Greater Will lying to Marika and her finding this out which set her off planning the downfall of it all. I think she wanted to get rid of the Greater Will for a reason but I don't think it was because it lied to her. The reason I think this is because we find out that the Fingers come from an entity called Metyr which is a direct daughter of the Greater Will, and Metyr was the one communicating to the fingers I believe, and I seem to recalling reading that at some point the Greater Will stopped talking to Metyr it doesn't mention when this was but Ymir who starts you on the quest to fighting it says, is it any wonder Marika's order was rotten to the core, if the Fingers were rotten if they came from a rotten source. So, I believe that Metyr was the one telling Marika what to do in service of the Greater Will and how she can bring about her age, but Metyr like the fingers in the base game was guessing on what they thought the Greater will wanted instead of it coming directing from it. The Greater Will seems to of had a very hands off approach from the very start, and doesn't care or want a particular order as long as it follows a structure/form of it's choosing and we can do whatever else we want as long as the core of it remains, which I guess is the Elden Ring itself and an attack on that is an attack on it, which is why Marika was imprisoned maybe Marika didn't know this and only see it as a means to destroy her order. What do you think? is there any points you agree or disagree? Have anything additional to say?

    @@federicofilippini6780 It is fun discussing this game with others, as there's always new ideas and opinions about the lore and characters in this world, and someone might have thought of something others hadn't before as new tangents and theories are born. I can't wait to see what theories people have when we've collected the lore and examined it more thoroughly.

    Cracked Theory: But I think that Miquella made some deal with Radahn that either fell through or Radahn did not uphold. Miquella was involved in trying to bring peace to Godwyn. Because Radahn was such a fan of Godfrey and Godwyn was a similarly golden warrior and Godfrey's eldest son, I don't think it's completely out of possibility that Radahn may have supported bringing Godwyn peace. Castle Sol implies that doing so would require either: A) A joint effort from a Carian (The Moon) and someone of the Golden Order (The Sun) -> Making up an Eclipse; or B) Like. A literal eclipse, which wouldn't happen if Radahn was holding back the stars to prevent a meteor. It also could be that Radahn just abandon's the project entirely when they fail to bring peace to Godwyn and ultimately make things worse. Either way, Radahn backs out of their deal, so Miquella goes to plan B and sends Malenia to kill him so he can be resurrected by his side. She fails, but by that time Miquella has already stripped himself of his body and is just waiting for someone (likely hoping it was one of his followers or Malenia herself) to kill Mohg and complete the process. He calls Radahn his "promised consort," which I do think is literal. Radahn may have agreed to his terms at one point, but the deal fell through and Miquella decided to take what he wanted anyway.

    I don't think that's a cracked theory at all, I think is a genuine explanation as to what has happened, as we've seen that Miq will go to any length to get his "Age of Compassion" and Radahn backing out of the deal for whatever reason and Miq deciding he will have Radahn no matter what, does fall in line with how Miq character is being currently portrayed. This is also a good explaintion as to what's Miq side of the deal was, as we get no explanation on what it is, but we do know he tried creating an eclipse so that might be what Radahn wanted before joining Miq but it unfortunately didn't occur and so Radahn went and did his own things.

    @@elviraweekes3906 😆Yeah it's certainly a small inconvenience when somebody wants to respond to a message of mine, but I think that is a good argument as Radahn is a warrior first and foremost and so simply dying outside battle isn't a worthy end. Hence why they throw a festival in his name to give him one. Malenia also clearly underestimated Radahn ability to "resist" her rot and overestimated her ability to kill him with it and bring a worthy end to Radahn, as we have to come in and do her job for her.

    @@DrGrimReaperGamingIt would explain why he let Melania put her arm back on. Maybe Miquella and Melania’s part of the vow was to give Radahn a honorable death. And then in return he will become their lord of the coming age.

    I would be glad that From Software didn't actually go with Mohg trying to continue his dynasty in the DLC but it still has a dude giving birth.
