@Sub Saibot your eyes don't always close when you get knocked out. More often they stay open and the pupils role back.

i found a littlw trick that may be helpful .. if you got knoucked .. you can get up by switching weapons .. this will give you a little time to escape

Once you get him off the ledge with his broken armor, don't even drop down. 1. Aim down with bow to hit him in vital spot to aggro. 2. Retreat backwards to your brazier pillar of choice. 3. Wait for him to approach, it won't take long at all, (he hauls ass back to you after you put that arrow in him). 4. As he charges your pillar, do a downward thrust attack on his exposed back. 5. Repeat 3 times and he's dead, even in Hard mode.

My worst Colossus by far

You can also force him over the edge. Don't drop down from the torch room and shoot him with an arrow over the edge of the cliff. Wait for him to run back into the torch room hanging out on a torch. Make him ram into it. Jump attack by holding square as you jump. Does more damage and no chance of getting thrown off. You gotta climb back up preferably the same torch and do it 4 or 5 times. You also get a trophy for finishing off a colossus with a jump stab.

This is the BEST method. No headaches, no running around wasting stamina, no luck needed to find spot sweet spot. Shoot an arrow from the temple, wait and in less than 20 secs Celosia is back, then fight at the temple.

Wait, you weren't anywhere close to stabbing the sigil. I didn't know it's whole back was vulnerable.

This colossus is bullshit, when he knocks you, you need to be incredible lucky to not get stucked by his attacks

Wow.....that one spot on his back literally helped beat it on time when i had 10 seconds left

Here's a cool trick that I discovered today: If you shoot one of the torch structures with a flash arrow, a torch will fall off of it onto the floor. You can do this before Celosia even appears, so this can help to skip that step of the fight. Unfortunately, since it requires flash arrows, you can't do this in time trials, but it's still a cool trick.

This fight and to a degree this game are still broken as shit but this one fight almost ruins the game for me.

I’m so happy I watched this before I attempted the hard time attack I did this in my first try and it was so damn satisfying haha

Thank yooouuuu for the tip about the spot on his back, I thought you had to hit closer to the sigil to deal damage and couldn’t get a hit on him to save my life with all of his shaking. Managed to finish with 1:58 on the first try after watching the video

I actually stood on the edge of the cliff with a torch and the Colossus pushed me right out of it and fell too. Wander didn't even receive lots of damage, and this fall saved even more time than the speedrun method shown in this video x)

That was the worst ever... until now! Your video save me hours and hours trying to defeat this one (I spend at least 2h on normal time attack, now was only 2 minutes)

This is one of the few speedrunners tricks I can do without effort and that sweet spot on his back puts this colossus in the top 3 of the easiest.

How do you stop it from shaking so much. The time attack is 4:15 not enough time, I keep killing it at 4:30 which is bullshit. He shakes like there's no tomorrow. Any tips?

This whole run is so clutch idek if I can do this the same

I missed and had to lead him back to the room, I tried to get a new stick but just jumped on his back where I encounyered a glitch where I was slightly above him and none of his movements disturbed me so I was able to have 2 fully charged stabs to end him

I beat this one really easily here is how I did it. When he fell down, shoot him with an arrow on the back, then go to the little Temple place at the side and then just jump attack on its back. It took me 3 jump attacks to kill him. Hope this helps!

Man i hate these small colossus...when i was a kid i was afraid of this colossus bcz of it speed and musicalso give me chills till this day...i dont know why i always feel scared playing this game....

Colossus is singular, please use the plural form colossi when you talk about them in plural.

If you land on his back a certain way when he falls you kinda glitch out and you can keep stabbing him with full strength i got it done half the time that way

For anybody who sees this, I'm fairly certain anywhere on his back counts as a full-damage hit, and you can sit just about anywhere right at the ass-end and you don't get bucked off. Easy clap

This on time attack is pad smashing. I have tried everything and it will not let me hit him, he just shakes. I've tried going to the rear like you said and it just throws me off. It feels like blind luck if you do this.

Not sure if you already did it, there's a simpler way, once he falls to the chasm and is down waiting to wake up, dont jump down, get as close to the edge as possible, shoot an arrow to the back, it'll wake up and come up to hit you, once it does, stay a top of the shrines, let him hit it, he will be knocked out for a few seconds, jump, deal damage to it, once he starts shaking let go and run the shrine, rinse and repeat

1:57 so I guess all 16 have this spot, is just a matter of finding it.

Leon 1804 The way they designed it was to scare the beast over the edge by waving it towards him. This is just a trick to speed up the process a considerable amount. Without using this drop method it’s a bit more challenging

Why the fuck did bluepoint cut the ammount of time from 5:30 to 4:15 in the remake for this guy? This guy does nothing but shake and never gives you any decent openings. The only reason you were able to beat him so easily in this video was by using a glitch. So in exchange for making Gaius possible on hard time attack, they decided to make this one into total bullshit.

arbitor365 the PS4 version is way easier than the PS2, PS3 games. And not because of time. The colossus are harder to stay on, climb and crawl around. Its grip or fall. The PS4 feels like I can walk around on them better. The older games feel glitchy as hell.

Jesus Christ... Free for plus members? This game has more value than 70% of full priced $60 games on the market right now. I was once a lonely old fuck who thought the same thing.. Honestly. Then I realized it’s not a major dev studio dedicating hundreds of devs and a butt ton of resources to dick about and create remakes/remasters. They outsource and find talented folks like Bluepoint to breathe life into a classic.. What they did with this game is well worth 40 bucks. Hell I think it’s blasphemy that they’re only charging 40 bucks. Buy the game or don’t.. Just spare yourself some trouble by not posting on a KZread trophy guide looking like a fool. Later hombre

TranceportationX Agreed. I haven’t played this since the PS2 and went in thinking it would feel dated with a pretty new coat of paint. I was wrong.. The new control scheme damn gorgeous graphics and performance mode (which I agree with you I enjoy this art style over HZD) just brought it all back to life. This has and will always be one game I recommend everyone plays. Now people who didn’t own a ps2 or just never had the chance can enjoy the super cool new steroid version. Win Win Win
