They add doves as each colossi you kill, which is a neat thing to note as you continue through the game you’ll see more and more doves spawn in the beginning area per colossi killed

This way of grabbing the Hawk is a pain.. just go to H6 on the rocks stand up on Agro and a Hawk will fly over your head just jump and grab on.

The area that worked best for me in H6 is a big fruit tree close to the shrine. Stand with Agro on the rocks

Just to be a bit clearer the hawks appear and fly low over your head when you are heading in the correct direction to reach the next Colossus. It's an extra way to guide you besides using the sword. I've played this on the PS2 and PS3 but never even realised this until someone pointed it out on a livestream a year or two ago.

Oh really? I always thought they fly down when you either run a certain amount of time or you are near a scenic place like a bridge or a cliff. :'D

How you trip over the turtle, Hold R2 and walk up to the turtle then aim for any side of it and you will stumble! You cannot do it from front or back! has to be on the side and you're good! Hope this helps

How do you trip over the turtles? On mine he just walks over them

there's an easier way to grab on a hawk, one of the save point shrines near the temple the dead girl is on in the open areas you see two hawks flying around the area if you climb the said shrine and stand on top of it the camera will pan out given you a better view of the area and if you wait for a while one of the two hawks will fly towards you and all you need to do is jump and grab him/her, sometimes you don't even need to jump just time your grab the moment the hawk fly at you and you can grab hold on it. if you miss your shot or fall you can get back up and and try again since the hawk will try to gives you a lift again every time it sees you on top of that save spot shrine.

Excellent guide as always! There is a spot at E3, just above the 3-4 line in the map, follow the cliffside to find it, where a hawk actually lands there! Really easy, just run towards it jump & grab, hope this would be of some help.

There's a trophy for attacking the priest repeatedly when you become possessed by Dormin... I believe you have to also use the fire breath by pressing triangle with dormin... Didn't see a trophy video for it, so I thought I'd mention it.

Ahh I'm so glad they kept the turtles! I couldn't find em in my game (I guess I wasn't looking in the right place 😅), but now that I know where they are, I must go and watch em! ❤️

Walk up to the turtle while holding down R2. Without letting go of the analog stick, let go of R2 right before you touch the turtle. Wander should trip.

And I hate to be that guy that tells you that the term turtle is often used not only for what you know as turtles but also tortoises and terrapins, so all testudines. It is very much depending on the region so I would assume that you might be British perhaps because in British English they make that differentation. In the trophy description it says turtle in both English and Japanese and in North America, where Bluepoint Games is based, as well as in Japan, where Japan Studio is based, that is the case. I'm not sure why this has to be so confusing because it doesn't need to be (I mean I get that there might be differences in different languages, but the fact that there are differences within one language is just odd). But as it stands it's correct either way and you would just have to give people on the internet the benefit of the doubt in the future because they might be correct from their understanding of that term.

Because they're different animals. Would you call a dog a wolf, or a robin a falcon? No, because they're not the same. Calling everything with a shell a "turtle" is wrong. Just because some countries use it as slang for that purpose doesn't make it right.

But it has to be. They're not the same animal. Saying they're both turtles is wrong, because they're not the same. Tortoises have front legs and live on land. If you throw a tortoise into the water because someone told you it was a turtle, you wouldn't have a tortoise for much longer, now would you?

I only just learned about the map after defeating the 11th... Seriously been going around guessing which paths to take!

Cannot wait to play this game.

For those wandering you have to walk over the turtle while its out of its shell to stumble over it and stumbling over it counts as the interaction.

I came to KZread to see where the lizard is at C6.... now I learned something else that I didn't know was a thing 😂

I played all the way through this game and didn't even know I could do this stuff with the animals. I didn't even see these turtles in my game either.

An super easy way to ride a hawk is to go to the shrine near colossus 6, the shrine that is located near the cliffs near where you can pass over towards colossus 10.. go to the top and just wait there until a hawk flies over your head.. grab it and off you go.

A little help for those who can't catch a hawk on Agro, if you stand still in an area with them, they'll eventually swoop down next to you and you can jump on. I just found it out while trying to find lizards, easier than trying to jump off of Agro

WTF. Lol. I had no idea you could hang into the animals. I'm guessing this is only from the Remaster, because I don't remember this on the PS2 manual. On second thought, maybe I knew, but forgot. I don't know, but fun to see.

I had same problem. Then tried running over 2 turtles and tophy showed up :)

All of these worked just fine, but that turtle... what? I got lucky trying it out because I had no idea which one wasn't working haha

For some reason I can’t get this trophy even though I did everything that was mentioned in the video... What should I do?

I have a trick to grab hawk easier - D4 standing on mountain or higher to see hawk. Once you wait for hawk. After it's coming you have to jump and grab.

Further confirming that this is a surefire method! Just stand on the large rock formation with Agro (R2, Hold up) and wait for the one of two circling hawks to swoop by you. It'll take patience and lots of reposotioning but it is a sutefire fool proof way of getting it instead of basing this on luck cause the hawks have always flown away once I stand on Agro the normal way

I found you can interact with animals when I killed a lizard

I didn’t even know there were turtles. I saw the doves, hawks and fish, but no tirtles

I got the trophy on PS4 without grabbing the hawk or dove. I did swim with a fish and trip over a turtle and got the achievement. I looked up this video to find the turtles, went over to them and tripped on one and immediately got the achievement. The only interaction I've had with halks and doves is bascially failed attempts at grabbing on to them, maybe that counted as enough of an interaction? I dont know its my first time playing the game. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Easiest way to get on the eagle is to go to G7 and literally just stand there without the horse. Jump and grab and you should grab onto it very easily.

I got the hawk by sheer luck I was going to gaius on my 3rd playthrough and a hawk just flew over my head when I got to the bridge

I dont know if its that noteworthy but I found a turtle in a pond in the lower right section of the map

do you need to do this in a specific order? this is literally the last trophy i need & im not getting it for some reason.

They're rewards for defeating a certain number of Colossi in Normal and Hard Time Attack modes. You can toggle them on and off by accessing the map screen and pressing triangle.

I'm not sure to be honest, I haven't done any time attack yet, I suspect the rewards are specific to normal and hard though and don't double up. Maybe someone else can confirm that.
