I forgot how much I love that game. It's amazing how far it exceeded my expectations.

I like you, you actually talk whilst doing speedruns, I have seen so many other people that are just silent the entire time and thats kinda boring, unless it's zelda. then it's just interesting with all the glitches they usually have.

For me it's the opposite, i prefer the speedruns without commentary. Usually i prefer any gameplay without commentary, but speedruns specifically because you get the feeling they're focused and enjoying the speedrun. But if they talk, often times it becomes boring because it sounds like ''Just another day at the office, let's get this done quickly and go home''

the miliseconds you save by having fast reaction to counter is amazing.

what are you talking about man this game is made for SRs you can chain almost everything and be in constant sprint, took me about 13-14 hours to 100% the game along with the 100% trophies

It took me 30 hours to 100% this game. Then another 2 hours to 100% the DLC. Overall, This game was a gem. I love it. The only achievement/trophy I do not have now is the DLC challenge because it glitched and would not count my Warchief kills. Besides that glitch, I have no complaints of this game. 8.5/10. Worth playing at least once.

+Ch1l1C0nCarnag3 The game was amazing, so much hype built towards the last 2 boss battles, one was a perform 3 stealths, and the other was a quick time event. It was an 8.5 until those last 2 boss battles, then it quickly turned into a 3. Overall it's a game I loved but will never replay again, so much potential for those last 2 boss fights.

This is a great game and a great run.

1:48:45 I love how you were so far away, and yet you have to me notified that this guy has a fear of betrayal.

I played through this game in 5.5 hours watching every cutscene and dieing twice. I also probably did some unnecesary stuff like collecting a few of the ithildin and the weapon missions. Great run!

Hello fearful ferret, I just got a quick question with the run. When you are branding the warchiefs, what do you do if the only weakness of a warchief is explosions. Do you restart the run or is there another way to keep the warchief alive to brand him.

im pretty sure the warchiefs allow you to dominate them when they get down low enough instead of having to grab them

My biggest issue with this game is the QTE fights at the end. I don't get it. After the Hammer I thought I was in for some good final bosses :(

How do you run?????? Cause I’m having trouble

in my first playthrough of shadow of mordor, one of the warchiefs was burning supporters, and i thought you had to grab them and throw them in fires.

jasper huu around 12 hours to complete the story of you just playing casually. Rushing from mission to mission it’ll probably take around 9 hours.

This is really late but I'll answer you anyways even though I'm sure you've looked it up if you're really curious. The current 100% WR is 6:40:21 (6h 40m 21s) by BR4ECJlAB. However that record won't last much longer. There are new runners that are going to break that since BR4ECJlAB was the only runner for the 100% category before this. Myself (FranktheArcher) and a runner named TinYtus are also doing runs and I'm not sure what Tinys PB is I just PBed 2 days ago for 7:06:52 and I had bad RNG on the Warchiefs and messed up a few of the side quest multiple times. I'm expecting to break the record sometime within the next few weeks. Whenever I have time to do more runs

Hello, I'm unsure if you may see this message, however, I am just now getting into speed running and I plan on starting with this game. Going to spend the next week or so learning the best pathing for this game one step at a time. I am curious about a couple things if you know the answers. I understand if not since it has been four years since your run. How does the three spiders save time as well as, what would you say is the hardest part about this game?

The miriam reward is presumably useful for something, but I don't remember what. The hardest part is probably dealing with difficult warchiefs; lots can go wrong and it can be difficult to formulate a good strategy for some of them. The actual instanced missions are all pretty easy by comparison. Good luck!

However, I will ask, how can i speed up my time on the branding of warchiefs, and what is the best way to make sure that you can brand them? I keep accidentally killing them and not getting the chance to brand them

@@TheTexasWarrior09 No easy answer there. Get them to low health or trigger one of their fears. Sometimes they'll resist branding even with very low health and I never could find a solution to that.

Looking back, I think I got the worst possible war chiefs on my fist play through.

Branding the first talon makes them friendly so you skip that whole fight so this could be even faster

As someone who owns this game I have to say that the stealth system is both alright and total crap at the same time. You can walk 3 feet in front of an enemy if you are Crouched. You can sprint past many enemies without them fully noticing you. Rip immersion...

Why is keen eyed the best rune just out of curiosity

+Camden Peacock pretty sure it restores focus (slow mo bow power) every headshot, so you can chain headshots for unlimited slow mo.

Shin Mufasa No wonder you had fuck all to do, you were playing on the 360. The game is totally different on Xbone, PS4 and PC. Last generation systems didn’t have the nemesis system, so no randomised enemy’s or cool random outfits, it was extremely cut and dry. I played through it on the PC and had a lot of time and fun put into the game. Currently sitting at nearly 500 hours, nearly 1.3k in shadow of war aswell.

So nobody ever beat this? Not throwing shade at all, just curious since it seemed like it could be improved upon and this was a while ago.

@allthatREMAINS Well nobody yet with prove you can see the list on www.speedrun.com/middle-earth_shadow_of_mordor i think it is possible. the community for this specific speedrun is small though so there isn't alot of optimizing or other stuff happening. But we keep trying so Fearful gets beaten after 5 years !

I am frankly going to sounds boastful here, so please excuse me for it. The first time that I actually played this game and got to the talon fight, I had a rapid firing orc on my side which one shot 1 talon at the start of the fight and a second one immediately after. After that he hit some accidentally killed two of my orcs and then proceeded to kill the third talon AND the fourth. The last one was range immune though, so i had to finish him myself :p

I once did a run where I was supposed to kill all warchiefs in the fastest time. I got on one of those huge trolls, went into an area that I knew one warchief was in. Ate him. Two other showed up. Ate them two. More kept showing up. I got seven down. One more, he killed my troll. I killed him, got another troll. Note: all this in under ten minutes. I killed three more warchiefs in the next five minutes, then I had to stop playing because of work. How fucking quick would that have been otherwise?

Do you mean captains? Warchiefs don't just show up. You have to do specific mission related tasks for them to.

Bibble Yeh, I smell bullshit. It’s very rare that slot of captains will come too you, not only that but some you can only kill by activating their little brawl missions. You also have to fast travel or die for another Graug to show up. Quit lying.

Have you ever had a captain named Dûsh appear in your runs?

great game, but for the game its supposed to be, its to easy especially the fighting, the fact i can just smash hit and block. is a bit odd, but overall great game
