It to me two years of attempting, saving, rage quitting, stopping and starting again to beat this game. When I finally beat it, I felt like I climbed Mount Everest. 😅😅😅

Always loved this game for almost the last 20 years. Probably Acclaim's best video game. Nice to see some new runs on this. Played this as a kid (maybe 10 years old) at first, had some creepy parts. The soundtrack is one of the most memorable of other games I tried. N64 was also my first version of the game but I have since purchased the Dreamcast disc and found someone who shared their Gog purchase (thanks to whoever shared that PC game!). Still play it today and it's enjoyable.

When the algorithim hits it just right... Can't believe others found the same glitches I used to grab some govi ahead of the game. Not sure if you are aware but you can use the spear to teleport to another location and just before your feet touch the lava you can jump backwards on top of the teleporter thing (made out of wood i assume) and then jump around to reach areas where you would need between 5-7 level govi. Watching your speed run was very entertaining. (i played this since i was about 14-15 im a few years away from entering the boomer level).

I never beat this game as a kid...it most definitely didn’t hold your hand when trying to play through it. Plus to a 8 year old this was a very scary game...to be fair I thought the show goosebumps was scary also. Thank you for letting me see how this game ended.

i was 11 and this game scared the crap out of me. the dreamcast version had amazing graphics (for the time) and sound and it really creeped me out so that i couldn't play it for very long periods of time. only got about halfway through the game

I played this on the Dreamcast. Finished it twice in 2003. I was 35

i miss 2003. Chimaira's The Impossibility of Reason came out that year and i used to listen to every day while playing Tekken 4

The music in this is so good, reminds me of Mullholland Drive the David Lynch movie. Excellence.

The 2 souligne you can grab from the edge with a TAS techniques. Is possible without TAS but very hard :)

bunch of these glitches were fixed on the pc version? i recently played it again and couldnt grab the 1st dark soul early

Yeah the PC version has several glitches fixed but also has a few glitches unique to that version. You can barrel roll onto many slopes (including the Engine to reach the boss) which you can't do on N64.

Mostly glitches that only work on N64.

@@WMJSpeedruns Yeah, since then i have read that the N64 version use less detailed geometry, so these tricks and cuts can be done on certain levels.

It is slightly faster to have your gun out while climbing.

Full of artifices, I wonder if it was the programmers who did it on purpose or some fanatic for the game he discovered

Even though Aklaim is not a thing anymore they left a good game behind. The only bad thing is that I've been trying to finish the game for years and I'm still unsuccessful without save cards lul

The most brutal thing about watching this speed run are the loading screens. A good five minutes wasted on loading.

how did someone find this shit out!? the internet is going nutz... i love this game, but come on, there is no hint that a jump like that is possible.... it is not a 2d jump and run where you can easily find some glitches...

This damage boost is known for a few years, in an old run of shadow man multi segmented, 49 min if I remember in 15 parts,
