This is the best boss in the game imo. His power charged theme alongside his new tactics of magic really gives new players a push they need for future fights. I like to think hermit isn't one of the demons but instead a local legend that shadow visits to pay his respects to during his journey

Hermit and Lynx are 2 of the hardest bosses in sf2. Lynx used Ranged attacks and could be invisible, and hermit's magic was So fricking annoying. Especialy the thunder one. Good memories.
