Shade Tree Stories with Ed Fields
Growing up in the Cherokee Nation, Ed Fields heard many a story by simply pulling up a chair under a shade tree and listening to his parents talk. He's now an educator, passing on the Cherokee language through the stories that were passed down to him.

Thank you Ed for teaching this beautiful language. I throughly enjoyed your class!! Much honor and respect from South Carolina.
Ed Fields you are a great teacher.
I started taking Ed's classes back in 2009/2010 (went by my middle name "Todd" back then) and continued for a couple of years until family/work responsibilities made it impossible for me to continue. His classes were so much fun and he always had great stories to tell us that helped us to understand what he was teaching. Ed is a great man and I am grateful for having been able to be a part of his classes. ᏩᏙ, Ed. :)
Wado Ed. I’ve loved taking your classes over the years. I started with the online language courses when they were first new. I still have my certificates. We learn so much from your stories too. Wado for sharing your knowledge and gifts with so many all over the world. Donadagohvi
It was truly great to hear your voice Ed, and to continue seeing you teaching Cherokee to so many! Rick

I love the Cherokee language it's very healing to me as I am researching my lineage
It's good to see my old friend Ed Fields (Unelvga).
I'm taking the Cherokee 1A online course with Mr. Fields right now. Love seeing this. He's a great teacher, and you can tell how much teaching the language means to him. I feel blessed to be able to learn from him.

ᎣᏏᏲ ᏂᎦᏛ! I'm taking his Cherokee 2D online class from Seattle. I recently purchased a copy of the "Cherokee National Treasures in their own words" book which contains a wealth of information about Cherokee elders and culture. Mr. Fields is a great teacher. I hope to attend one of their immersion sessions in the summer. Mr. Fields ᏬᏒ ᏗᏕᏲᎲᏍᎩ ᎢᎩ!

John Falconer ᎦᎵᎡᎵᎦ ᏥᏕᎾᏠᎭ. I will have to get that book. I've been enjoying the cultural enrichment series on here from the CNO. My family always did foraging, so I really like all the entries on traditional food.
Wado Ed Fields. You have stayed with teaching for many years and helped so many. From a Smith/ Smith/ Fields. No not those Smiths--Yes that Fields.

Greetings from East Yorkshire, England! Thank you, Mr Fields, for sharing this knowledge, and stories. Precious! I am currently enrolled in the new on-line Cherokee Language Class, and I am SO excited about this! Wado!
I didn’t even know the Cherokee language was still known or used by anyone. Eye opener for me. I admire your passion for your people. I will watch more of your videos. Thank you.

That is so beautiful! And its a slight repeat of Plato! Conspiracy Alert: And both Plato and Cherokee have theoretical roots to Atlantis! Cherokee History course said one of teh myths was that we came form a destroyed Island and traveled North to the rockies, then East to Carolina-Tenn for permanant Settlement! ...And its different thinking than other tribes more Ancient Mediterranean just some ideas....I have this before making the argument Cherokee and other religions are not exclusive and its interesting but complicated.
