Shackle Inversion on Trailer Springs

See the shackles invert on a double-eye leaf spring suspension. This is bad. It's most likely to happen when the trailer is lightly loaded. It can also happen when you jack up the trailer frame, rather than jacking under the axle/spring. This type of problem can be avoided completely by using slipper springs rather than double-eye leaf springs.
