I SERIOUSLY... Have Chill Bumps... "Brava Darling... Brava" I have been Re-furbishing Furniture since 1977... And when I saw this video... I want to be YOU when I grow up... HOLY MOLY... I have to do this... (THEN... all of a sudden... I remembered an OLD China Cabinet, that I was just getting ready to THROW out... because it has been in the Shed for over 15 years... Beautiful! Sadly, neither the paint couture nor flex wood(?) are available in Italy. I have the IOD moulds. One of their trim moulds could easily substitute for the Prima mould. You did a great job transforming that mirror! Thank you for your detailed tutorial.🙏

Looks amazing! I disagree with the other lady - it might have cost a bit to get supplies but to buy a piece like that, you would be looking at big bucks. The point is learning a new skill and the enjoyment of creating something beautiful. The moulds can be used over and over again.

Very nice, but I imagine very expensive to create if you have to buy the paints, trim, gildind, resins, molds etc etc

I have found that it does not really cost that much per piece but yo just buy everything for only one piece then have all of the leftovers yes it could become pricey.

Just curious why you use tape to hold the trim down when clamps would be more effective, I also wonder why you don't prepare the entire service before you start gluing the decorative items. Doesn't that make it harder to paint especially if you are using one or more colors?

If I had multiple clamps that would be great, but unfortunately I don't. Tape works perfectly fine to hold the trim in place. I also explained that this is a shabby chic design and I wanted all the colors to show through when I sanded down at the end. This piece was prepared to be painted with a scuff sand and cleaned with a TSP based solution.

The Trim and the moulds are all I Flex wood products. The trim is the floral decorative trim. And the large mould on top in the Flower Garland and Bow. For some reason, I am struggling with figuring out what the piece was that you used as the mirror frame. I thought it was possibly a cabinet door but then in the video, when you said that something was once a cabinet door at one time that was repurposed into a dry erase board, you only showed the actual rectangular mirror. I am sorry, I am super confused about what items were used.

This was originally a cabinet door that someone repurposed into a dry erase board. I found it at a thrift store, so I am not sure exactly what it was originally but that is my guess considering the holes drilled on the back would match hardware used for cabinets. I took the dry erase board piece, primed that and then used it as the backing for the new mirror piece I added. Then designed the rest from there. That's why I am am measuring the primed dry erase board in the beginning of the video so I know where add the mirror so it's even. 14:04 I hope that helps any questions you may have had!

With the cost of all those moulds, paint and glaze, you could have bought something for less….no one talks about how expensive those woodubend mouldings are. Resin is much less expensive but the moulds themselves can be pricey. I’m just saying for diys, these are expensive projects.

Everyone's price point is different that is for sure. But for me, personally as a furniture artist, I truly enjoyed the process of creating this intricate and one of a kind design. And I wanted to showcase what IS possible to create with moulds and a little creativity!
