Whether an algorithm lead me to you or just my good luck, I am thankful. I am new to your channel and think that you may have, single-handedly, saved Victorian-era chairs from destruction or relegation to a dark, damp basement, never to be seen again (at least here in the USA). I immediately jumped into action to try this technique. My fabric was more of a tone-on-tone brocade with woven bees throughout the fabric (probably popular in the 1980s and 1990s) than the satiny-type that you used. Unfortunately, there was no way to fill-in the bees, so I just embraced the "bee" theme. I also tweaked the color mixture to more of the yellow spectrum than orange. I am very pleased with the results. Your instructions were easy to follow. Thank you so much for sharing this technique, your talents and vision. Well done young man.

You are truly a master in your art. I tried doing this several years ago and I totally ruined it lovely chair. It ended up being very crackled and stiff. Oh what a mess I made of a very pretty chair. After watching your very informative video, I’m thinking I may be able to rescue it. Yes I still have it in the hopes that someday I would be able to fix the awful mess I made. Thank you for sharing your talent with others. You have given me hope for that little chair and inspiration to use your technique on other items that need a bit of care or just an updated look. I’m looking forward to watching your other videos to help me transform future and possibly other items that that I gave up on because I didn’t have the correct information to to take them from drab to beautiful.

amazing..Im looking around my room right now to see what I can do this on..lol..chair come here
Once again, I am stunned by your talents! I plan on binge watching this evening as I have two similar wing chairs I have considered painting. One is a moire stripe in a forest green. The second is a textured, scroll pattern of multiple colors with a cream background. I would reupholster them in a navy background with a cream print, or cream background with navy, but it would be cost prohibitive, as would new chairs. How difficult would a dark base be to achieve a leather like look? Your comment that Annie Sloan chalk paint offers a softer feel than acrylic paint is what caught my interest.
@JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove
2 жыл бұрын
I would most definitely go for the least amount of texture in the fabric although I have done it before and it does work pretty well just remember follow the steps thin coats and build the layers remembering to stand in between too much pain buildup in certain areas could crack. But to be fair the results can be staggering as well if the upholstery is quite firm I would say that’s the one to go with it is kind of key anyhow I’m wishing you all the best for your project please be sure to send me some pictures I would love to see 😊😊😊
Obrigada 🙏 obrigada 🙏 vc é um artista ameiii
