Beloved Shabani is so remarkably agile with that "Big Boy" body of his... *: )* I simply NEVER tire of watching him (especially when he's showing off) & his family...

Shabani is very intelligent. You can really tell by looking at his eyes and he shows off for the crowds. I love him very much. One of the most beautiful silverbacks I’ve ever seen. I’d love to know what they think about. I only wish these gorilla’s were free the way they were intended to be. I don’t like seeing them caged and I don’t think they like being caged. And someone needs to fill the pool daily. If they are so lazy then they don’t deserve these magnificent animals.

It's hilarious at how Gorilla's charge and look to the side as if to avoid eye contact always found that peculiar. Shabani acts like the big boss but in reality he's gentle and playful with his family though i worry when he play's rough with Nene since she's old & delicate compared to the other's like AI. Love these vids as much as i love the entire family. 😊👍

Eye contact with a silverback when he’s riled up is a no-no…it means, I challenge you.” The submissive gorillas always avoid eye contact at a time like this.

Vincent, Sadly, in the wild there are many dangers for these magnificent Gorillas. Habitat loss, ( that makes them dwell closer to humans and they can catch "diseases" and a simple cold could kill them. Not to mention spread to the rest of the Troop, killing them all. ) Poachers are a huge threat and they also set snares /traps and many Gorillas have lost limbs due to such traps. They are evil. They will kill the family, steal the Babies ( who are traumatized and hurt ) and try and sell them as pets. There are amazing and Kind Doctors who try and treat Gorillas they see injured and sick in the wild. Sadly, it is not easy as the Silverback is there to protect the family and it is hard for these kind and good intentioned souls to give treatment as Gorillas are fearful of their intentions. In the Zoos, the Keepers know the Gorillas behaviors and give them daily health exams. The the minute the Keepers see a Gorilla is acting odd, sick, etc., they get them medical attention immediately. This is great because the Keepers love the Gorillas they work with and make sure they are healthy and stay well. The Keepers also give the Gorillas many ways to stimulate them to keep them Happy and safe. We would all love to see all animals/Apes able to live free and in a beautiful paradise, free from the dangers of Man. Sadly, the fact is,the world to where they were born to inhabit, has proven to be very dangerous. I have watched Gorilla families all over the world for many years and have seen many "Behind the scenes" videos showing just how much the staff care and love them. There are also many Zoo TV Shows now that give you an inside look into the people who care for each animal and all they do for them. Mostly, the deep connection and love they feel for each animal/Ape they care for. Please try and think of the good. Try and remember how much quick medical treatment they receive in Zoo's that is not possible in the wild. How many births needed c-sections and top vets operated delivering the Babies that saved both the Mother and child. Also, if a female mom rejects a baby, at zoo's the keepers will hand rear (Raise ) and as quickly as possible place the baby with a new Gorilla family. Or the times a Gorilla Mother is not producing enough Milk to feed the baby, it will die, in Zoos they will step in and bottle feed & save the baby where in the wild, the baby will die. *Even Annie was saved by the Keepers as Al rejected her * See video ----> kzread.info/dash/bejne/q4V5srBqgrOpoNY.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/hISgpdZwlbKsZbA.html Even Gorilla Gentaro (Kyoto zoo ) was saved by Keepers as Mom didnt have enough breast milk --->kzread.info/dash/bejne/l3Z7rcqoidDPqLQ.html & kzread.info/dash/bejne/k5uuk7aGZNXKoLg.html So, remember, although we wish they could be free and live in a world of safety. Sadly there are too many dangers for them in the wild. There are many Org's that fight to protect them in the wild. But, its just not enough because any Gorillas life is precious and there are just so many dam poachers and other evils that destroy their safety. I feel grateful there are Zoo Keepers who love and care for them so we can protect them without facing outside dangers. Here is a cool "Behind the scenes"video of Toronto Zoo that shows enrichment the keepers give them and about their personalities ... The funniest part for me was watching the Gorillas chilling in a hammock after play time (@6:46) as they chill out to watch TV and get a snack to enjoy!! LOL! How wonderful this staff is. Here is the video --->kzread.info/dash/bejne/mnh_yq9verW7eKg.html So Dear, please try and remember the Zoos do adore their Gorilla Troops and do all they can to keep them happy and healthy. Ifeel better knowing they have easy access to medical care and protection from the world and above all the Keepers really do love them and have a very close bond with them. Gorillas share our emotions and how could you not love them? So, maybe this comment can give you a bit of peace and different way of seeing things to make you feel a bit better as Most of us know how you feel and wish things were safe for them in the wild. But, we are also grateful for the love, medical treatment and overall care they get from Keepers who work with them. Smile dear, there is good also. ;-)
